From what I've seen in a quick perusal of the video content there is nothing so special there to keep cloistered off so maybe you are correct they are making a bad business decision that only alienates existing customers but doesn't convert them into subscribers. Might be a particular topic that speaks to you, but I was very underwhelmed by the Sphere video offerings and found what I was looking for on YouTube, and plenty of it, so the videos on sphere served me naught.

Yeah, every once in a while there's something in the Studio One news feed that looks interesting enough to click on, and a couple times I was blocked from them because they were "PreSonus Sphere exclusives." I just shrugged and went back to opening my song in Studio One. There's no way I would pay for Sphere just to see the odd video from Gregor that PreSonus arbitrarily blocks me from seeing. I just don't care that much.
Although, as a Studio One 5 Professional owner, being blocked from the Studio One 5.5 sneak peak video really chapped my ass.

You get what you are paying for...
Sphere members pay a lot more over time than the average single license holder... how can you expect to get access to the same feature than somebody who pays for a "bigger version"??
If you pay at i.e. groove3 or sonic academy for a single course you don´t get either access to all the other videos...

As a Studio One owner, I used to get access to everything in the Studio One news feed inside of Studio One.
After creating Sphere, PreSonus began creating an artificial scarcity to try to manufacture additional value for Sphere that didn’t exist by putting some items that they are showing Studio One users behind a paywall.
I don’t really care much about watching their 1 minute videos. But I very much resent being treated like a second class user within the software that I purchased the “Professional” version of.

But perhaps it´s time to accept that you are just a "second class user"... you bought just a single product and there is no guarantee for Presonus that you will ever again spend any money on them...jamcat wrote: Fri Jan 14, 2022 7:16 pm As a Studio One owner, I used to get access to everything in the Studio One news feed inside of Studio One.

Sphere members buy in the complete product line of Presonus and pay because of this a much higher price than you did...
On top of that they own nothing afterwards... as soon as they stop to pay they loose completely access to everything while you could years your actual version still in 20 years without paying just anything more...
I think that qualifies them to receive a few goodies more you don´t have access to...
It´s a company... you are a customer and you get from them what you are paying for...

The problem is they blatantly rub it in. I have nothing against subscriptions - I'm on Reason+ for example - but in particular case of S1 they simply don't offer anything that's useful for me, because most of the add-ons are orchaestral & real-life sounds and mixing/mastering plugins. But seeing how every other video inside of S1's hub I can't watch because it's "Sphere eclusive" is infuriating. S1 knows which license I'm on, so it should have a decency to filter them accordingly.Trancit wrote: Fri Jan 14, 2022 11:39 pmBut perhaps it´s time to accept that you are just a "second class user"... you bought just a single product and there is no guarantee for Presonus that you will ever again spend any money on them...
I'm OK with the fact that Sphere subscribers get their own videos & tutorials, but I don't want to be constantly reminded that I can't watch them.
