They are certainly better than the original hardware UI's!!!

I owned a Korg workstation in the 90's, and the button pushing and small LED window really was frustrating. Couldn't wait for a computer based editor screen to deal with all those functions...

prophecy has poly

Only VST version has poly.

AU too..

I can only play single notes at a time here using the au and vst versions.
Not one sound can play a multiple note chord. Neither can I see any mono/legato/poly setting.

Odd place to put it, but I guess they ran out of GUI real estate elsewhere.

(Prophecy badly needs a +6db and +12db Global boost as I think almost all, if not all their other vst's.)

I'm pretty sure that the original Prophecy "solo synth" did not have this feature, so they had to stick it somewhere on the virtual version.

But this instrument is a bit more complex than your average synth, so the manual is actually worth taking a look at! It's only 67 pages, where pages 31-47 cover the 7 oscillator types that can be assigned to the 2 oscillator slots.

Thanks for pointing that out.
I only assumed because all the presets are mono, which is an odd setting decision on their part.
Why not feature presets using poly mode, if it is available?

I think, emphasis on think, that the included presets are only presets from the hardware which was indeed mono only.

I mentioned this before, but I’d like if they’d add on/off for the retrigger of oscs. It’s good for some things, but it is annoying if you use unison as you can get the laser kind of effect in the sound.

The original hardware was a mono synth. The poly was added as a VSTi "bonus".

Wouldn't be surprised by a Z1 since it's the logical evolution of the Prophecy (especially since it is now poly anyway so part way there)

Don't know what they're gonna release next, anyway releasing only the og synth rom and engine is more nostalgia oriented than anything. I wish they'd implement the ability to load pcgs and samples on the Triton, with added MOSS integration maybe, instead of getting another "closed system" rompler.

They should also release an update to the Cell, it would be a nice host for all their synths and fx.

I'm waiting for an update of the Triton with PCG import and Moss Z1 engine.
I hope Korg understand how many people are happy when this happen.
