OK I learned something today.
I can't believe I missed it up until now.
Make sure you don't miss it as well.

I am on constant quest to lower latency and improve performance cause I am using UAD-1 DSP card powered plugs and they double the latency of your audio card.

With my 7 year old Gina audio card I could get down to 128 samples 2.9ms latency but occasional pops were part of my every day problems.

Now I can go down to 64 samples 1.5 ms latency with no problems at all. (44.1 Khz, with 96 Khz you can do even better)

What is the solution?
Very simple.
Just go to Tracktion Settings page and disable every audio and MIDI device that is not in use.
If there is a device that you only use occasionally disable it as well. (you can always turn it on when needed)

That's it. So simple. So .... damn I can't believe I never tried it.

UAD-1 works like a dream.
Joy beyond all my expectations.

Imagine:
You load 8 super killer instances of Reverb.
You glance at the CPU meter..... it's at 5%

Exactly why I jumped on the T bandwagon so long ago. I loved how it played with that bratty child-uad-1. Works like a dream. Wait until you get into racks with the uad (just watch using Dreamverb with them-a little buggy).
