I am not sure what this is about... All I can say is that it lets you send and receive audio and MIDI data from.to anywhere where a plug-in can be inserted!SHall1000 wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 2:21 pm Will this solve the midi channel merging problem in Ableton Live?

Unfortunately no: we have tried to keep them alive as long as possible, but AVID has discontinued these formats a while ago, and Apple has definitely killed 32-bit builds with the Apple Silicon updates, so we would not be able to build or maintain such formats anymore.DJAvr wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 2:33 pm Do you plan to release this plugin in AAX 32 bit or RTAS for Mac OS? This would be a unique solution that would provide an opportunity to integrate old TDM systems with modern computers and software. I think it would be in demand. I will buy first if it happen!

You cannot send multiple midi channels into a Live track to drive multi timbal instruments as the channels are merged.Blue Cat Audio wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 3:13 pmI am not sure what this is about... Cheers, thanks again!Blue Cat Audio wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 3:09 pmYes, it's audio only. If your network is strong enough, most remote control software should not impact the audio stream that much.whyterabbyt wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 2:15 pm I assume this doesnt include access to the screen of a remote system; do you have a preferred solution for that ie one that minimises impact on Connector?
An idiot on Set Theory:

Apparently Patchwork can solve this issue. Was wondering if Connector might be a cheaper alternative.SHall1000 wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 3:20 pmYou cannot send multiple midi channels into a Live track to drive multi timbal instruments as the channels are merged.Blue Cat Audio wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 3:13 pmI am not sure what this is about... Uh that's too bad, indeed. I don't think Connector alone can help much here, as you will have to route MIDI into the plug-in in the end, so loading it into PatchWork might be the only solution anyway (Connector can help you get more MIDI sources from other places into it though).SHall1000 wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 3:55 pm You cannot send multiple midi channels into a Live track to drive multi timbal instruments as the channels are merged.

So... will this allow me to run VSTi and VST FX plugins on one machine and MIDI on different one? (That is... provide the ability to share CPU duties between PC's???)

It is indeed possible, just like you would do by connecting 2 machines with a physical wire and run audio apps on each machine, but the plug-in itself does not host VSTs.

Well, what I'm hoping is with respect to what's coming with Cubase, allowing multiple (non-dongle) licenses. So, that is... I'll run certain things on 2 different machines (for example):Blue Cat Audio wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 6:41 pm It is indeed possible, just like you would do by connecting 2 machines with a physical wire and run audio apps on each machine, but the plug-in itself does not host VSTs.
Machine 1 (with Cubase): MIDI Stuff
Machine 2 (with Cubase): VST3 FX
Machine 2 Stand-alone VSTi's
The possibilities are interesting.

(Just finding whatever ways to divide CPU workload.)

Why not loading it natively as an Audio Unit? What does happen when trying to load it?Audrius wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 7:23 pm Dear Sirs, it seems that Connector does not work in Final Cut Pro X. I try to open it via Patchwork, but it refuses to load the Connector.

I heard about this plugin from an owner of Patchwork. He said he got an email with a discount since he owned that product. I also own Patchwork that I purchased from a 3rd party shop, but did not receive a discount email. Is there a way I can get this discount? Thanks!

Hello, don't mean to ask a repetative question, but I need clarity on this.
If I'm mixing a project within Studio One on my Mac Mini, I can take reverbs, delays, and other effects that are on my Macbook and put them on the Sends/returns in my Mac Mini, therefore lightening the CPU load on my Mac Mini?
