Midi connection in Linux

Hi!
six years, and I still wonder how to connect MIDI with Bitwig in Linux:
-no ALSA/Jack clients
-no way to connect to sytem transport
-no way to connect to other softwares
-no way to use midi-through
-only connects to hardware devices (when not busy with other process!!)
I really need to send Bitwig transport MTC through network (with rtp-midi or something else), since my timeline controls light and video in a show. rtp-midi seems to work, I have a Jack-Midi client, but impossible to connect with Bitwig.
Please help!

Hello blindx, u must install THIS distro :
UBUNTU-STUDIO 20.04 3-years long term service. 21.04 isn't stable enough actually!
https://ubuntustudio.org/
(has all you need !)
then u launch "Ubuntu-studio controls", click "start jack" button , that's all. (it's auto-on-reboot)
then in Bitwig Studio you set audio device to JACK.
simple as that !
all hardware is directly recognized on Linux !

(tested almost all distros since 2000~....Ubuntu-studio is for Creation. it includes all media creation tools, like Gimp for Photoshop, Rosegarden i never used.. well... the only pb is e-licenser not works i think... & some people like me had issue with iLok, somes not. but i bought 20000€ sh*t since 2010 to reach pro/quality.. but it's hard... for the masses, on linux they download "free-illegals versions" of VST/i..... for vst-bridge to linux there are 1/2 good ones...)

Thank you for this nice advertising.
UStudio never worked good for me (tried since the first release). I use KX repositories on a Kubuntu.
It's not true that hardware is "directly recognized", let's be honest: a lot of hardware doesn't provide drivers, and a lot need some configuration.
But when it works it works extremely well! (just as the ~10 devices I use daily in my work do)
But anyway you didn't answered my question.
Can somebody help me? We have a show in two days...

I found a workaround using Ardour for diffusion. It worked well since there was only one track playing straight, not many clips playing at the same time.
So nobody knows how to spawn jack ports in Bitwig?

It's unfortunate that this is the only way to make bitwig talk MIDI to the rest of the computer.
I often use rtpmidi to bounce midi over the network, or even to a virtual machine. A "permanent work-around" would be that bitwig implements native rtpmidi
