Hello!
Just installed Waveform Version 10.3.6 and I noticed many Racks are missing "T" plugins (TEqualizer, TCompressor, etc)...
Do I need to download something extra ?
Thanks !

I'm not sure but these are part of the DAW essentials plugins suite maybe. Which waveform bundle did you purchase? Do you own those plugins?

T10 free doesn't have these plugins and yes, one has to buy the DAW essentials collection package to get them.
It would be quite odd if they were missing in the T10 payware too, considering that they are used in the rack modules.

I don't record any instruments live, I construct my music.

I updated to W10 PRO, at least that is what it says in the "about" box. User since Tracktion 3.
I did see the T plugin names in Essential plugins. Too bad the Racks were not created with the included plugins...

You can put anything in a rack, sort of. There aren't a limited set of pre-defined racks...
You can take any plugin you have, and it "becomes" a rack with that plugin inside it - and from there add whatever additional plugins you like as a rack assembly ?

Not really, though it is kind of curious that they include rack presets with the DAW that require plugins which are not included... though I have seen other software which similarly includes presets which require additional purchases to make use of.harvon wrote: Thu Dec 26, 2019 2:13 pm It would be quite odd if they were missing in the T10 payware too, considering that they are used in the rack modules.
There are bundle options available when purchasing the DAW that include these plugins, but not all of the purchase options do.

I have Waveform Pro 11.5.18 freshly installed on my system. I open the first Rack Preset (3rd Below Echo) and all of the #Txxxx plugs are missing.
Surely this is a bug? Why include presets that reference old plugins that I assume used to be included but now have been removed?
Either remove the presets too, or update the presets using the newer plugins that ARE now included in the PRO package.
This is either poor attention to detail, or very poor marketing (if they think it will cause someone to go buy an add-on).
EDIT: i know this is discussed above, but really just wanted to add my voice to those who are confused that this is still the way it is.

I'm pretty sure that the DAW Essentials plugins have always been an extra, separate purchase. I firmly believe that the reason Waveform comes with a ton of presets that by default can't be used is to give all of us here ample opportunities to try to explain this to newbs over and over and over and over and over again.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Pough is right. the T-racks are all based on owning the full version of Waveform Pro. And while I fully understand that non-Waveform uses can make good use of DAW Essentials (it's a separate software package), I think the T-racks should only be included in the DAW Essentials installer.
Or, perhaps better, they could change out the T-racks to use the effects plugins that Waveform *does* include.

So I agree (and I stated this in my earlier post) that the T-racks should only be added to Waveform if you purchase and run the DAW Essentials installer. Otherwise, it will need to be explained over and over and over...which is not productive for anyone.

Agreed: it seems to be far more confusing than helpful.
DAW Essentials comes with the Standard *and* Extreme versions of Waveform Pro.

Waveform Pro has 3 packaging models (Basic, Standard, Extreme).
Basic does NOT include BioTek and DAW Essentials.

maybe it used to come with the full version, otherwise i can't understand why people keep repeating that it comes with "full" Waveform Pro (which I own).
but the point is that the T-racks should only get installed if you get DAW Essentials.
