i'm not trying to offend Adam, just expressing user opinion.
There was absolutely astonishing skin for Dune 3 in a topic here,in direct compassion Viper seems fan made.
As user who pay for a product i compare and have opinion.
Same if buy car or boat and compare brands and models.
Just Viper colors aren't so nice to impress and inspire.
The gui is nice just colors miss something.
Critical opinion to me is helpful.
Anyway it seems most people like it so sorry for bothering others with my opinion.
Just like and use Viper, that's why wasting my time here.
Cheers

Each of us is sharing opinions here. No waste of time. I am mixed on the GUI of Viper. The colors are unique, not good, but not bad. The layout seems fine. And I love the sound. I do wish more synth makers would make their product "skinnable" however, with me, GUI is RARELY a deal breaker.

This is exactly the reason Viper has several skins. Anyone is welcome to create their own or change the existing skins to their liking.

Hey guys, putting together a new bank, I have 700 individual presets. Wasn't there an easy way to load single presets into an empty bank? It's beyond tedious to add one by one.
High Quality Soundsets for Lush-101 | Hive | Electra 2 | Diversion | Halion | Largo | Rapid | Dune II | Thorn | and more.

You can use the Toybear Minihost to load multiple presets. Its not available on the official site but its still up here: https://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedi ... Once downloaded start MiniHost, load Viper 32 bit, then go to Presets -> Show Preset Manager -> Load Preset and you can select multiple presets and it will load them in the Bank. Then you can rearrange them as you wish and save the bank.

I am happy to announce that Viper has been updated to version 1.1.0. Here are the changes:
• New Virus bank import
• New "View Schematic" in main menu
• Fixed a crash when switching presets
• Fixed a high CPU usage issue on automation
• Multiple Viper instances load faster
• Several other bugfixes and improvements
The biggest feature in 1.1.0 is, the ability to import Virus soundbanks! Explore thousands of presets made for the Virus with this new feature! This was extremely hard to achieve with months and months of intense hard work, thank you for your patience. To use this feature you need to download the free Virus waveforms available on Viper's webpage. Please note that not all Viper patches will sound 100.00% identical to the Virus sounds. The Virus and Viper are two different synths, written in a completely different way. The Virus has features that Viper does not have, and vice-versa. Not all patches will be compatible and those will sound nothing like the original. If the Virus patch uses the same features that Viper has, the conversion will be much more accurate. Please keep that in mind when importing the Virus patches. Thank you, and enjoy!

would be nice if the preset converter would automaticly safe a succesfull importerted bank into the user sound folder, or if you could offer a converter, which keeps the mid filename and writes it in an selected folder as converted fxb.
I have a lot of virus soundbanks, so it's a lot of work, if you have to switch throug folders an copy the name, if you save a new bank

Yeah thats not happening, that would take so much work. I worked a ton of hours to create this, its time that you do some work as wellsacer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 5:02 pm would be nice if the preset converter would automaticly safe a succesfull importerted bank into the user sound folder, or if you could offer a converter, which keeps the mid filename and writes it in an selected folder as converted fxb.

Adam, congrats on the update, Virus import is amazing!
I didn't try it yet, but I assume in order the import could work correctly there must be a specific path to the Virus wavetables and spectral waveforms (i.e. no arbitrary subfolders)? Or will it just scan the Wabetables/Waveforms folders in full?

You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Thank you! Yes, you need to download the free Virus waves from Vipers webpage and put them in the correct folder, and then Viper will find them when importing the Virus patchesrecursive one wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 5:21 pm Adam, congrats on the update, Virus import is amazing!
