Emulator X working in Traction :D

hi all emu owners i have the emulator x studio & after being up all night on a sesh i have found a way to get the bugger working!! this is how i did it in the settings page of "T" in the audio devices page hit show asio controll pannel & set it to 50ms then un check the use asio direct mode then set yr latency to 7ms for a tight live midi in (if u increase it uses less cpu!! handy 4 the end of a mix wen no midi recording is needed) then load emu x P.S power fx as a vst do not work with this setting!! (but hay thay never did in any thing but the patch mix dsp any way) i have the latest to date drivers & patch mix both vershion 1.60 get them from http://www.emu.com also emu told me in a reply E-Mail from 1 of my meny complaining mails that emulator x 1.5 update will be on there site 4 free download in a week or so! lets hope some deasent drivers come soon aswell

i have the 1820m i dont no if this setting will work on the 1212

Emulator x is a great piece of software, that has a logic of its own you have to understand.
but onece the session is up and running, you can do amazing stuff.
Btw, PowerFx do work as they are intended to at least at home, when used as FX.

Hi piaz or any 1 else that knows

wot size is yr buffer in emu asio & if it was 10 or less dident u find that u had poping in yr trak wonce u got up to 50% cpu?
if u no a way to use power fx as a vst that is stable plz plz plz tell me how u did it coz i love the fx but i have to save a patch mix sesh with every tune to use them (not that that is hard to do but somtimes i forget & lose stuff

Hum, hey, djsubject, I've got a problem here : my Emulator cannot render anymore (driver version mismatch it says).
Has it already occured to you? And did you sort it out?

Tes, as well as 1.71 drivers for the 1212M...
Can't remember when it started, cos I haven't used it for a while (too much fun with the micron)

it sounds to me like you need to uninstall & reinstall emu x!

since i posted this post i have updated to the 1.5.1 vershion & the timing from emu x is all messed up on my pc?

i realy hate emu x at the moment! i can only get it to work properly in cubase (witch i hate) not that iits not a good app! i just cant flow when working in it

hope a emu x reinstall fix's your problem!!

yes indeed thay are!

i riped all the sound banks using chickin's translator

so now i can use in any sampler

only problem is on some banks the filter needs to be opend up

but at least i now get to use somthing from the extra i payed to get the emu x software with my 1820m

I don't get it : Emulator X is not supported by Translator, as far as the "supported formats" page tells.
How did you make that ? was it fooled by thinking it is a hardware E-mu ?

yep from emux load a hole bank, then export from emux as a format for the hardwere emu sampler, chickin will convert that file

a few tips if your using the free demo,

load hole banks in to emu x & export, because you only get 1 translation every 30 minits

also translator has to be open & running for 30 minits before you can convert again
