I found a previous thread from 2017 and reading through the replies, I have not found a solution. The links to any documentation in that tread are no longer available.
I have a track with my Midi controller set to the input. MPK3 Mini
I have a plugin enabled and I can hear the sounds as I play the midi controller.
The little triangle with the RECORD button is active, enabling recording for the midi controller input on this track.
BUT any time I try to click the main record button, I get the " record is only possible when at least one active input device is assigned to at rack" error. It does not run any kind of recording.
I checked out several quick start guide and full tutorials but every one I see, it just works. I don't understand.

Do you have a red circle, or do you have a red |> with a white circle? You need the big red "house" with a white circle to "arm for recording".

Toggled the "arm recording" function on the track and still nothing.
The little shape is full of red with a white dot, nothing.
Shape grey with the circle red, nothing.

You have "action" set to "monitor from the device, don't actually record"
Change that to "merge" or "overlay"

How do you change those options? I've only had this software for a day, and all of this is new to me.FigBug wrote: Sun Jan 30, 2022 4:26 pm You have "action" set to "monitor from the device, don't actually record"

The lower middle part of the screen is called the Properties Panel. It shows all the properties for whatever is highlighted. In this case, the Action property is a few lines above the keyboard displayed in the lower part of the image you posted, and you can clik the triangle at the end to see the options and make a change.YOURShardCaster wrote: Thu Feb 10, 2022 12:02 amHow do you change those options? I should mention that in order to create more working space many of the screen areas can be hidden, so the Properties Panel, for example, is not always visible. But it's your choice what to hide.
