Brian, thanks for your effort, I see your intentions are good but I'll pass.
I know for 100% there's nothing wrong with my pc, I have several vstis that are downloaded and or authorised through app mamagers of different companies and I've never had any problems with them.
At all.
It could have even been a temporary bug in the rcm server or something..but I really don't have the time or willingness to go through that again.
lol if you browse the persons forum posts here --> (search.php?author_id=416746&sr=posts) you can see he likes to complain himself quite a lot but i guess he doesn't like it when other people do it. The irony

Anyhow I'm pretty interested in trying RC for a year. What's rolands take on me sampling my own custom synth sounds after my sub ends?

The reason why I personally complain quite a lot about RC ("a lot" being subjective, but anyway) instead of just stopping using it is not because I hate it, quite the contrary. I love Roland and I love their synths and sounds. Maybe there's a little bit of nostalgia in there too (Roland D-5 being my first synth, and JD-800 being the synth I have probably used the most during my life), but who cares.

I just hate it when there's a lot of good in there, but some stupid little issues prevent those good things from living up to their full potential. I just want Roland Cloud to be amazing in every way. We are not there yet, and frankly it doesn't look very promising, but one can always hope, and compl... I mean, give some constructive feedback.

Quick update to my post:
Tried to download again with no luck.
Decided to try to download RC on my iPad pro and it worked.
Copied installer from my iPad to USB and installed it from there on my Mac.
Install asked me to uninstall previous version first before installing new one.
All is good now, but this update process on Mac is just ridiculous

Is there a free Roland Cloud account? I see it mentioned but there is no listing of what you get..you get a "free account" as in a time limited account, but is there a free forever account?

I think you need a Cloud account to access some of the software editiors for their hardware..so in theory there should be a free forever account..

(Not set it up yet as I'm currrently a proud member of the "Dude, where's my SP404mkII?" Facebook group.
