I recently tried using more than one Roland UM-ONE USB-to-MIDI adapter on macOS with MuLab, and although opther MIDI-capable apps like Garageband recognize them as separate devices, MuLab only sees them as one device listed multiple times with the same name. No matter which one I choose to send to, MIDI only outputs to the first device listed. This issue seems limited to the macOS, as I'm able to use four identical UM-ONE devices on the PC version with no problem.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
Multiple MIDI-USB devices with same name

It's indeed a known issue. It's on the wishlist to improve this aspect one day, but not yet planned on short term as this is about a rather exceptional case while there are many other working points having a higher priority. Sorry about this for now.

I'm happy to report that I've discovered a workable solution. Using the SubtleSoft MidiPipe application, I configured three virtual MIDI input/ouput pipes, one for each of my three identical UM-One devices. In MuLab, each of the newly created MIDI pipes shows up as a unique device, so I set these as my MIDI outputs instead of the UM-One entries, and voilà! It all works beautifully! So happy to be able to get back to my MuLab.

Thank you!
What a cool app.
It looks like it will also convert midi to microtonic and channel aftertouch to polyphonic.
