I have found when using Tracktion to record a track using a VSTi synth that whenever a play/record/rewind etc. function is activated the current patch which the VSTi has loaded ALWAYS resets to patch #74.
It makes no difference which synth is being used (I have tried several) or which patch you are really wanting to use. It WILL reset to #74. If you start playing the project and select the patch it will play the correct (Selected) one until you stop or rewind the project. Then ...yep it goes to #74.
The midi records fine, the synth plays fine, the patch just won't stay at what I select.
Is it me or is this some abnormal kind of behavior?

Additional:
If I select the desired patch and then save it as an individual fxb preset file then reload it into the synth the patch selection does not change when stopping/starting/etc. and works normally.

You have patch 74 imbeded in the midi file.
Click to highlight on the midi file then on the bottom of the page click on the "Insert Program Change" (green button)and follow instructions to change the patch or remove all info.
