Hey thanks for all your work! I'm on Bitwig 4.1.2 and using your 15.4.0 with a LPPROMK3, on mac monterrey 12.0.1. its great, BUT I noticed that when I hold device it doesnt snap back to my previous page in the same way that record arm/mute/solo/volume/pan do. I assume this is a bug, this is my first ever bug report so apologies if I missed something or wasnt clear!

No, it is not a bug. The main modes are not temporarily, which are all on the top of the devices on the other models. On the Pro the Device is on the bottom, so that is why it feels a bit weird.

I see what you mean, is there a strong reason for the main modes to not be 'temporarily'? its such a nice feature and I cant see why it would exist for some pages and not others.

Does the akai fire support scrolling text in the small window? The reason I ask is that my parameter names are too long and it doesnt show me exactly what parameter Im changing as they are all labelled with the initial VCF1 before the name (see Diva as an example). I know I can relabel the controls. Im just wondering if there is a work around.

Everything that happens on the display is programmed by me, there is no specfic hardware support for such things. I stayed aways from anything fancy since the communication is pretty slow.

Hi! Just updated to the latest Driven By Moss for Bitwig and having some issues..
The central issue (I think) is I am not able to select a file for import/export right now - I click the buttons but nothing happens. What does that sound like?

Just updated bitwig to 4.1.6 to make sure that wasn't the problem. Did a couple reboots to make sure there was nothing that a reset would fix. But no luck yet. I'm using the Flexi Device with a preset I built for my faderfox UC4.

I've just today got hold of a Push 1, and in Bitwig 4.1.6 on Linux (Linux Mint Debian 4), with DrivenByMoss 15.4.0 (installed as the instructions, with the udev rules too, rebooted, and both Midi ports set to "Ableton Push MIDI 2"), the Push is detected, the Push screen has the correct info and follows the DAW, the buttons have the correct channel colours and so on and light up if I play notes from the computer. However, nothing I do on the Push seems to do anything. Is this a known issue (I'm aware there was some issue with BWS 4.1.x) or have I missed something? Thank you!

SOLUTION:

Aha I found the solution!! Create a brand new template AFTER adding the controller - an empty template. Then newly added tracks work fine with the Push. Apparently it's this longstanding Bitwig bug:

Windows 10 here (sorry should've mentioned that). When I connected, I did see the "Track" pop up - is that the dialogue your speaking of? If not, I'm not sure what I should be looking for. I've updated many times before with no issue, so I'm not sure what's up!

This is resolved! I needed to load up a new flexi controller slot in settings rather than using the slot that was stored from the previous version. All is well now. Thank you!

I have a suggestion/request for launchpad pro MK3, I did a search on the forum and didn´t find anything, so here it goes:
When on Note mode, pressing the Velocity (green) button brings a row with hold note, pitch bend and modwheel. I find the pitch bend pads not very usable, since they only respond to the initial velocity of the hit, and that might be me, but pitch bending this way is a bit useless.
Would it be possible to ignore velocity and to use aftertouch for sending the pitch bend messages?

I wanted to implement it that way but it is not possible. The issue is that aftertouch is also used on the "normal" play pads. To split this into 2 areas the extension would need to be restarted since this can only be configured on startup (API limitation).

Damn, what a pity. And how about having the option to make the column on the left (all but the last pad, which is the hold note) a pitch bend strip?
Just giving ideas here, I hope I don´t sound like I´m demanding or anything.

No worries. After all these are all crude workarounds. Maybe it is easier to get a little keyboard with a proper pitch bender.

What are you looking for? There are no additional resources required for the Launchpads. If you need the Firmwareupdate, you get this via the Novation Components App, not from me.
