Not sure if I worded my question properly. I was referring to one app to install all products. Seems you answered it either way though so thanks for the information and feedback, much appreciated.

You mean like something along the lines of how NI or Arturia do it?… an independent app that informs you of what needs updating and permitting a user selection of what to download, be it an update or a yet unpurchased unit for trial? NI’s seems the least intrusive, as it doesn’t have a “phone home” mechanism if un-launched or if an NI plug is present in your DAWs project, as opposed to Arturia’s system, which will inform you of updates if your DAWs projects is running one of their products.

Both of these systems look as though they took as much time to develop as as the plug-ins themselves. As much as I’d like that “one stop shop” convenience, I’d rather U-he spend the time on the plug-ins.

It is going to be a keyfile. The keyfile stores the license holder's (chosen) name and email address, plus all serial numbers, the date of issue and a few watermarks to verify the legitimacy of the keyfile itself.

The format of the keyfile will be PNG, and when opened in a picture viewer, it'll look like a credit card, displaying the above name/email/date and a list of all the licensed products.

It's elegant. It's simple. It will look pretty.

(we're inspired by Plogue on this, who have been using "license cards" for years)

Linux user here. I haven’t bought anything that isn’t a serial or a keyfile in years. I saw this thread and panicked, because I love your products and the fact that you make quality plugins without punishing your legal purchasers. I was so relieved when I learned that you are just moving to a standard key file. I’m ok with purchasing products that don’t require a company to stay in business to keep using the products—unlike challenge/response, ILok, etc. Thank you again for staying true to your customer-friendly roots!
