Hello Music Lovers
Brand new to Tracktion (2nd day using the software) and having a problem of adjusting the volume of a MIDI track via the DAW Mixer. When using the Arcade plugin, I am only able to adjust the tracks/instruments volume in the plugin (Arcade). Please inform me of what I do not know about this.
Thank you.

Each track has its own fader; this adjust the output level ("volume") of that track, including any plugins on that track.
If you're looking to control more than just that track, you need to either adjust the master bus volume or create a submix of the tracks in question and adjust those.
So I don't know if you're asking how to adjust the output of the plugin, the track, or multiple tracks.
If you're looking to control the volumes of individual instruments within the plugin, that has to be done inside the plugin's settings itself.
Let me know which you're trying to do.
You might also be describing automation, which is a very different approach from what I've described.

Thank you for the reply.
The MIDI track that has Arcade has a volume control which is at the far right of the DAW and it is also available in the Mixer (Shortcut-M). When adjusting the volume the MIDI track still plays at the original volume. Even if I lower the volume down it still plays at the original volume. My intention is to adjust the volume of the MIDI (Arcade) track once it has been recorded and sequenced.
Hope this clarifies the problem a bit. Not sure why the volume of the MIDI track will not adjust in the DAW. Is it that I can only adjust the volume of the plugin via the plugin itself and not the track volume in the DAW?
Tracks with samples do not have this problem.

It looks like Arcade can be configured with 2 BUSS outputs and 4 MASTER outputs - do you know where those are directed/used? It sounds like it could be bypassing the normal "track output" controls ? Is there a "settings" page for output control on Arcade that could be posted ?

Thank you for the response as it made me think differently about the problem.
When adding the plugin to the track I put it after the Volume & Pan plugin instead of before it. Dohhh....
Problem solved.

Ah, now I see. Thanks for clarifying. Yes, one of the neater aspects of Waveform is that you have remarkable control over plug-in order. There are times, for example with a compressor or preamp plugin, where you might want to put the volume & pan plugin before other plugins to control the level going into the compressor or preamp.
Alas, this flexibility can also cause some confusion. Glad you have it settled, and look forward to seeing you around this forum.
