My goal here is to use more midi fx than possible on one channel in Logic. So I want to send midi data from one track with only midi fx, to another track with my VST instrument and more midi fx.

It shows both the tracks are connected but I can't hear or see any midi data coming though. The buffering thing is doing something so I'm assuming its receiving the data I just don't know why I can't hear anything,

This is a video of what I mean https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RRFr4P ... sp=sharing (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RRFr4PCK_CU7bbSjNiz0DOJM5cV2rDKQ/view?usp=sharing)

If anyone can see what i'm doing wrong I would really appreciate some help. The "Drumz" track is the one I'm trying to send from and the "Steven Slate Drums" track is the one Im trying to get to revive the midi data.

Also thought I would mention Im using an M1 MacBook incase this could be the issue.

I cannot open the video here, but in Logic if I remember well you will have to either load Connector as a MIDI controlled effect in the virtual instrument slot for Logic to actually send anything or load a dummy instrument.

If you goal is to chain many MIDI effects to control a virtual instrument, it might actually be easier to use PatchWork instead and load everything inside it (MIDI routing in PatchWork is pretty simple).

Thanks for the reply.

Before I buy patchwork do you know if its possible with patchwork to for instance, get 16 logic midi FX triggering on one instrument track and then be able to map track automation on them all individually?

BTW I really appreciate how active you guys are on forums.

It depends on the number of parameters you want to map. If you want to use Logic effects (which are not actual Audio Units), I am afraid PatchWork won't help either, as they cannot be loaded inside PatchWork. So your initial idea with Connector could be a solution in this case...
