Not again...my plugin addiction ... Even though I just recently bought the XLN RC-20, sadly this recent adsrsounds "Thenatan's Set The Vibes Bundle" deal is way too tempting
The RC-20 is a great plugin, I'm very happy with my purchase but unfortunately the order of the different effects inside the RC-20 can't be changed. It seems to me that as far as sound, there is a huge overlap between Vybz and the RC-20, so I'm not 100% convinced I would actually use Vybz.

So my questions are:

1. Can the order of the "effect engines" in Vybz be changed or the order is fixed - so it has got the exact same weakness as the RC-20 - ?
2. Are there any option to rout signals into different "effect engines" in Vybz in parallel mode or the signal flow is fixed serial?

I know there are solutions for these issues inside the DAW (eg. opening multiple instances of the same plugin on different tracks and than routing the signals out of those tracks as desired...) but it would be great to know whether I have the option of reordering the different effects inside the plugin or not.

I'm pretty sure you can't do either the 1 and the 2, but I don't have Vybz, I just watched a ton of reviews. Lifeline expanse allow you to reorder the effects as you want, but for the 2nd point I can't help honestly, I think that all the one I know work with a fixed serial flow.

Doesn't look like Vybz lets you re-order the effects either, no. As for differences between it and RC-20, a friend of mine wrote this - hopefully they don't mind my sharing it:

To me, there are similar things that they can do. I've not compared the saturation modules but at first glance the saturation in RC20 seemed smoother, but I really need to compare them back to back.
Vybz has quite a few features that RC-20 doesn't have : A dynamic EQ, a IR loader, a delay module, a parallel compressor, different reverb modules, a speaker simulator, a vintage module... That's off the top of my head.
RC20 seems to nail the vintage aspect of things more, the envelope follower on the noise module works better, it sounds rounder and 'warmer' from what I've tried. I'd say that the layout is a bit clearer on RC20. But the cool thing about yibz is that there's so much stuff that it feels like you keep finding new features.
They're complementary, so vybz is definitely worth getting. Vybz also has a randomizer, that's pretty cool

From what I've seen, RC-20 is better at slightly more subtle effects, whereas Vybz is more overt and in your face (although it doesn't lean heavily into FSU territory like Lo-Fi-AF, which is another plugin I've seen compared to both of these). For the current super-sale price, Ima go ahead and pick it up, I think. Trying to decide if Tape Piano 2 is worth another $9 on top of that... I don't generally write hip-hop and it seems very genre-specific, but maybe it could be interesting in other contexts too?

Did Vybz ever get the fixes that were promised to come after the new year? It was indicated the fixes were done and ready to go.

Thanks for the tip! It is indeed cheaper to buy from SSL directly. It automatically takes off the price of the cheapest one if you buy three.
