Guitar Rig 6 Pro or Output Portal? *I know they're completely different*

Right so I know GR6 and OP are completely different but I love adding character AFTER finalising my loops, what would YOU choose to add cool character? I'm stuck on which one to buy

p.s output don't do a trial so I wanted to ask here

Understand, but I haven't come across any guitar rigs out there that I like apart from Guitar Rig 6, I just can't stand the fact you can't trial Portal

Portal is great (and expensive) ... but on sale at the moment.
I've never used GR so can't compare.

It’s harsh because I want to try out Portal, yet Output don’t offer a trial so it’s basically, if I wanna trial it I have to pay for it

I’ve bought Portal a while ago, and while it’s not a bad plugin, it’s kind of underwhelming, I think. There are so many good granular tools out there; before you spend a lot of money, I’d try something like the free Emergence. It’s possible that it’s more than enough.

Personally, I’d probably go with Guitar Rig. It’s far more versatile, and you get a lot of high quality stuff you can’t really find elsewhere.
