Interestingly all the blurb talks about the new effects. I'm pretty sure that they sound great and they are very welcomed additions. But for me the note grid is the actual star of the show. Now we can build players like in Reason or chord plugins like scaler.

Hmm my license just ran out yesterday LOL. Anyone know if they do sales on the update licenses? Extended Phaser and Flangers are great to have as they are very usable in alot of sound shaping and I really enjoy how the native plugs work.

I am happy to wait for this one to come out of beta before I upgrade, or maybe even skip it- its great that they finished the grid but I haven't used it that much...be nice if they also finished comping (midi) in the same update!

Personally I am looking for more standard audio (pitch)/midi editing now, but it is great that I will also get all this cool stuff when I do eventually upgrade.

Yes, they regularly do sales, usually one around the end of the year and one in summer.

I'm so happy about this update. Getting all those Midi devices lately made me anxious if a Midi Grid was still on the agenda, but now I'm super happy to see it.
This was probably my main feature wish since BWS 1.0. Back then we all thought we would get the internal low level modular thing, but the Grid makes a lot more sense to more people so I'm over my initial irritation with it.

Now I can probably sell my license of Architect, I don't think it will ever grow on me...

Will probably keep some of the other Midi tools I have gathered, simply because they do some things very well (like the new Stepic vst (https://devicemeister.com), Scaler, MidiGuitar and Phrasebox), but otherwise it seems I'll use less and less plugins with Bitwig... :tu:

Awesome! :-) :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:

Cheers,

Tom

There have been Black Friday discounts, but that's a long time to wait. I think they've done special event discounts a couple of other times as well.

I'm thrilled for this one -- this is a big item off my wishlist, and it seems like they've implemented it in a smart and flexible way. Even just being able to do things like add a bit of slew to pressure is going to be helpful. Of course I'll be doing more modular-style sequencing, and CC-to-MIDI and audio-to-MIDI conversion. The MIDI CC in module will remove an annoying workaround that I used all the time, and having CC out too is great.

Anti-aliasing on the shapers, plus Hard Clip, is also good news. And more flavors of chorus/flanger/phaser to try are always welcome.

especially because all them are Grid modules too "Available in all Grid devices (Poly Grid, FX Grid, and Note Grid)"

Yes, I found that odd - I don't really care about the effects, as I don't use chorus, phaser or flanger fx that often and already have enough options for them anyway. The midi grid is the thing that excites me and could finally see me purchase the upgrade...
