While poly portamento would be nice, I thought of another thing that emulates this somewhat (but not completely), which I sometimes do, especially with lead synth: have Repro-5 on one track, and have a another track playing something identical or very similar MIDI-wise, and the other track could be Repro-5 or some other synth plugin (Diva is capable of multiple Glides), have different glide rates for each of the 2 tracks (even automate variable glide rates). Stereo delay can help too.

With this being a feature on the Prophet-5 reissue, a strong case for support can be made. I wasn't even aware it was a thing until I watched J3PO's comparison with the Prophet-6 (he calls it the glide juice).
On that note, the Prophet-10 also supports a separate mode for polyphonic unison which I believe lets you choose how many unison voices per note. So 2 voice Unison = 5 notes polyphony.
Also stopping at 8 note polyphony is almost diabolical considering 10 voices was the original intention from the beginning, it was only halved due to overheating issues IIRC. There's even enough room for two more pots on the circuit board for two extra voices, and not to mention 10 can still be represented on a single digit 16-segment display as "X"
Since Repro-5 has stereo voice panning (despite the original being a mono output), there's no reason to let the hardware have the upper hand!
