Ableton Live 11

Most of my plugins have disappeared from 11.1. Rescan does nothing. I mean hundreds of plugins are missing that were all there and working fine in 11.0.x.

because it's native now, i'm assuming you're on MacOS? if so, need to right click the Ableton Live 11 app file in Applications and click "get info" then select Rosetta mode.

Plus see previous pages for discussions about how shortcuts to plugin folders no longer work in 11.1

Yea what is sad is I don't have shortcuts to plugin folders. I have one folder where all my plugins are Program Files/VSTPlugins. Everything is there. There are subfolders to that folder, but oddly SOME of those are showing whereas most that are in that directory do not.
So odd. Going to try to delete the custom folder and re-add it.
Edit- that seems to have done the trick...it is scanning through them now. Lets hope they all show heh.

I noticed the same thing here.JonSolo wrote: Fri Feb 18, 2022 12:50 am Most of my plugins have disappeared from 11.1. Rescan does nothing. I mean hundreds of plugins are missing that were all there and working fine in 11.0.x.
Your plugins companies will either have to update their software to be native compliant with the m1, or you can do as I've done. Download an older version of Live. I'm downloading 11.0.12 as I type this now. Hoping that one works with my old plugins. You can have both versions 11.1 and 11.0 installed at the same time.
edit: That worked. My non-native m1 plugins show up in version 11.0. When it asks you to replace or keep both. Make sure to keep both, and your older version will have a #2 after it, so you can tell the difference.

Re-scanning did not work for me. No change.JonSolo wrote: Fri Feb 18, 2022 2:13 am

go to your applications folder 'get info' on Live
select 'open in rosetta'. launch Live. scan plug ins. quit. get info again ... deselect open in rosetta.
launch it (it will launch in native mode) and some more of your plug ins will appear. do you have AUs installed or only VST? AUs seems to scan and appear after you do the above process.

Sorry for the lack of clarity on my part. I was on Windows. And 11.1 seemed to have borked my plugins. A removal of the custom folder and re-adding did the trick of fixing it.

Live 11.1 beta took a ridiculously long time to scan my vst folder today. I had installed 4 new plugins last night and thought I must have borked the installations because they weren't in the browser after the initial scan. So I checked in preferences to find Live was already re-scanning my vst folders. it took around 45 minutes until said vsts were available to load from the browser. Three of them were prototypes from Puremagnetic, so that might explain it.

11.1 (released version) also had to rescan my VSTs. Not sure if there's an entirely new backend to the indexer (hence why it had to scan them all again) but Ableton now starts soooooooooooo much faster on my machine than any previous version.

Hope this is the right place, or at least not the most wrong of places, to ask this..
How long does it usually take for an Ableton license transfer to go through? Or for the recipient to receive even the slightest bit of communication (e.g., that it’s being processed or whatever) .. ?
How long has it taken for you?

This may take about a week. I have made this experience in the past.kvotchin wrote: Wed Mar 09, 2022 12:16 pm Hope this is the right place, or at least not the most wrong of places, to ask this..

Thanks. I was beginning to wonder if something was awry, honestly.ralfrobert wrote: Wed Mar 09, 2022 12:48 pmThis may take about a week. I have made this experience in the past.
It’s been 5 days so far (3 working days).
