Hi all, this might be more appropriate for the Sound Design board, but just in case someone here might be able to help, I thought I'd give it a try.
I want to try and program MSF to create something like the main synth sound in this track:
https://soundcloud.com/badtips/repeat-e ... al_sharing
The sound that comes in right from the start and stays roughly unchanged for 30 seconds:
What I know is that the sound is created using a Roland MC-202, so is subtractive, but probably has some FX on it (not least the reverb).
The main thing I'm struggling with is how to get the oscillator and filter to sound right. I love the harmonics and strength of this sound and whatever I try in MSF sounds weak in comparison. Is there a particular distortion being used?
Any ideas would be much appreciated! I'm not great at reverse engineering patches.
How can I make this sound in MSF?

Alright I'll take a shot. You talking the intro or the one in the middle? They're similar so...
Osc: narrow pulse, probably two oscillators in unison with slight detune. More or less mono and not spread.
Sub osc: narrow pulse but also try triangle.
Filter: LFO dotted half note high resonance
Attack short, decay short, sustain down -3-to-6dB, release short
Might have a 1/16th note LFO on the amp (tremolo) with about a 1/4 note attack (fade in)
I think the main think you're missing is a sub oscillator if you haven't added one. This is just my 3 second analysis.

Sorry for such a late reply. Just wanted to say thanks for giving your ideas.
The lfo on the filter was very helpful and hot me another step closer. I didn't manage to quite get the sound, but got me close enough. Thanks!
