Thank you for your explanation on the Cubase Issueadamtrance wrote: Thu Feb 24, 2022 9:48 amWhat do you mean "brings down Studio one"? Do you mean it crashes? If it does, please provide more info in which preset exactly so I can check. Regarding the overload, it happens because Viper needs to clculate a ton of things when updating all the parameters at once. This is a FlowStone thing (the development platform), so when you switch presets it has to recalculate the entire signal path again, and you get a 1 sample higher cpu spike. I havent found a solution for this yet but I am aware and trying to find a fix. I did try other things but it introduced other problems, so I had to go with the "less bad" one. The solution in the meantime is to increase your buffersize, or dont play viper while switching presets.D-Fusion wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 9:59 am I have noticed that i get Cpu overload when browsing presets in Cubase Elements 11 and Sometimes it Also brings down Studio one V5.5 When Browsing Presets.
This makes me a bit Worried about using it since things like this happens without any Warning except for the Red Overload Dot in the Cubase 11 that happens everytime i change a preset.
No, Viper does not write anything in the program files folder. Viper saves the files in your AppData folder and that is in your My Documents, which also has your windows username in the path. There is a bug with FlowStone that it doesnt like some certain special characters so if your windows username has non english characters like öäëá or something, then the path gets broken and Viper cannot save anything. Thats why I made a workaround for those few people that cannot get it working, so you can fix it by putting the files where the Viper.dll is.rasmusklump wrote: Wed Feb 23, 2022 3:33 pm Thanks, it worked.
But I think it is a bad idea to let a plugin write stuff in program files as that's the place plugins are mostly written. This often can cause problems.
Can you please tell me what number 125 % size is?
Thanks in advance
What Happens in Studio one V5.5 is that when i browse thru Presets it sometimes Get Studio one to Crash.
By Crashing i mean it just Dissapears and When i Reload Studio one again It says it encountered a Problem With Viper(64) and ask if i want to disable it.
The Problem seems to be Random and i have tried to see if it is a preset that is causing this.
Tried again now while posting this and Browsed Thru 6 Banks and everything Worked fine now so i am not sure what is Causing this.
The only difference now is that i have Removed 1 Usb Midi Keyboard so it may be that it was sending some funky messages that made it Crash.
Anyway. I do love Viper and it sounds awesome so i hope i managed to fix this myself.

what I was saying about plugs writing support files,
is that sometimes the DAW's permissions won't allow it.
If DAW (ie.plugin host software) is ran as administrator,
it may allow Viper to write
That has happened to me, and it was hard to realise what the problem was
is 1.25 the correct figure Adam, to scale 125%?

i guess Viper wont be changer significantly anymore, but will ask again - any chance for rearranging mod matrix modulation targets order and places in the list,so to be more intuitive, like to follow some sort of workflow, for example filter first, then lfo so on based on user's demands not just my opinion?
Please don't accept it as criticism or negativity from my site,i adore Viper just my opinion is that could be more friendly if order and places are different.
For example not sure why bur every developer place mod wheel as modulator in different place in the list, when obviously it's main modulator and basically most midi keyboards have only mod wheel and aftertouch,it's logical and natural these two to be first modulation sources in the list, but even can't remember a synth with such.
Cheers

Well, lucky for you, "Modulation" is the second in the sources list, so it shouldn't be that hard to findVELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Sat Feb 26, 2022 11:09 amwhen obviously it's main modulator and basically most midi keyboards have only mod wheel and aftertouch,it's logical and natural these two to be first modulation sources in the list

Honestly don't like your superior, patronizing attitude to opinion of college designer.
Obviously Viper is just commercial project ,which will not gonna be developed further by users request, but targeting Virus users.

Where was I patronizing? Please show me because I dont see it. I put a smiley where necessary, maybe it doesnt come across properly perhaps. You mentioned that "Modulation" is an important matrix source and should be one of the first two in the sources, and I pointed out that it is indeed the case in Viper, its literally the second option. I was not patronizing.VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Sun Feb 27, 2022 9:39 am Honestly don't like your superior, patronizing attitude to opinion of college designer.
I tried to explain why its not easy to change the modulation name orders, its a technical problem and I would fix something thats not even a 'problem'. You are looking at it from a designers point of view and not from a programmers point of view. You havent seen the code inside Viper you dont know how it works, so when I explain something I am not being an ass, I am trying my best to respond with explanation for reasons. As I mentioned changing the order of the list is not as simple as changing it. Each dropdown list corresponds to a number so selecting Filter 1 Cutoff means a preset value of 0.56 or something. If I change the list, maybe Osc 1 Pitch will now be 0.56 and all the presets will be messed up. Sure, I could manually fix it, but its a lot of work for a solution thats not even a real problem. 99% of the people are fine with the alphabetical matrix destinations, this is your own problem that you dont like it and I am sorry for that, but please try to understand that I cannot start changing every tiny individual issues people have with it.VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Sun Feb 27, 2022 9:39 am Obviously Viper is just commercial project ,which will not gonna be developed further by users request, but targeting Virus users.
You other point is not true: "will not gonna be developed further by users request". I spent a lot of time on user requests and I am trying my best to give them to you. People wanted new faster LFO, I did it. People wanted Wavetable oscs, I did it. People wanted new skins, I did it. People wanted virus import, I did it. People want grain and formant oscs, and I plan to look at those shortly. I work my ass off for absolutely free, all these new updates cost nothing since all the updates are free of charge.
So please dont say that I am patronizing or being superior, thank you.

Velltone, where can I hear some of your music released on a proper, real label? Where can I hear your masterfully crafted presets? Let we judge you a bit, like you judge Adam.

What are "all soundsbanks"? Viper should be able to show all your banks. Make sure you dont have any comma (,) in the soundbank file names, that could screw up the list.Caine123 wrote: Mon Feb 28, 2022 4:03 pm is there a limit of how many soundbanks viper shows? i copied all soundbanks to the folder into USER but vipr shows only 10 soundbanks? :/
