epiphaneia wrote: Fri Mar 04, 2022 7:28 pm One more Audiothing plugin that I really enjoy.

I'd enjoy it just a bit more though, if it had:
- pitch per slot
- the ability to move the center wheel by mod wheel (or any freely definable midi controller)
- ... and/or let me choose saw up/down waveforms for the movement

:D
Pitch per slot, yeah, would be nice, but there's really not enough space in the UI for that.
You can already MIDI learn every parameter, including the big center knob and control it with a mod wheel if you want.
Hmm, how about making the volume knob half the size to make space for a pitch knob? Yeah, I know that´ll be miniature size, but how often does one change that? Or... make it two sliders instead?

When I right-click any knob, I get "edit value" and "parameter lock", no "midi learn" there - that´s the way I expected it to work (sure, I can always use Logic´s "modifier" midifx).

and maybe a drag and drop feature where you can drag and drop samples into the 8 different patterns?
Adding more modulation sources + mod matrix + more effects...it's never ending. We didn't want to clutter the UI too much and at the same time we wanted something easy to play without diving into complex controls.

I'm thinking about a way to easily create new banks yes, with perhaps Drag and Drop and all. But it's not a priority at the moment.
We are already testing the MIDI to pitch control (so you can tune while playing midi notes) and other things (and more banks!).

Yeah, you need to use your DAW internal MIDI learn. In Logic just hit command+L, move the parameter you want to learn in the GUI, and move the control in your MIDI control.

more easy than "putting 8 samples in a folder"?
waste of your time tbh  its easy enough as it is.
its not really necessary to drag and drop here, i can see the point with drum machines for example, where you are trying to get something "specific", i dont think thats the idea behind noises? isnt it more about finding and discovering something new?

well still it would be easier to try around etc. instead of goin back to folder, exchange samples etc

At the same time, a USB syncronized drum machine works fine.
I've quickly retested here in Logic Pro and works as it should BUT I think I understand what might be the issue. The phase of the trip lfo starts in the middle of the big knob, so that might not be ideal. If you are experiencing a sync issue instead, would you mind posting an audio/video?
Thanks for your support. Is there a way to start the LFO phase from the beginning of the big knob, or even better, making it user selectable, so that you can decide the order of the sounds? Maybe rearranging the order of the sounds but keeping the number so that you can see for example, 3-5-1-4-6-7-8-2 and always know what you changed? :-)

And here is a short composition with drums from the Analog Rytm and everything else generated by Noises (reverb added in the DAW, of course).

if you could drag and drop samples it would solve it a bit too :)

We'll discuss this and see if it's feasible.
FWIW, the lack of pitch control per slot is all thats stopping me buying this plugin.

ive purchased already, but this one does sound like a good idea!!
id prefer this to any sample rejiggery stuff.

could there be a right click on the current dials, to change function maybe? to keep the space usage as it is?
not requesting this so much as offering it as a possible solution :)

Maybe right-click on the LEDs? Or a button to change them between LEDs and little Korg-style light-up pots.

However, Ive got a slightly different take on this, based on a Hainbach video.

This one:

Im not sure, but I kind of feel that what some people are looking for of changes to Noises might be served better by something more like that?
Or at least, I'd definitely be interested in seeing something like that as a plugin. (well, also actually as a module, but wrong forum for that)

I guess its almost the opposite of Noises in one way, being parallel playback of the same sample rather than crossfading between multiple samples, but primarily, its got the feel of the same sort of application to me.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Actually, having given this some thought, right-clicking (or shift-click maybe) on the LEDs or the numbers beneath the buttons, to select, and then (whatever). TBTH I'm happy with it as is. 8)

Yeah that's an interesting device (conceptually) in the video, particularly what it does to, and the manipulation of recorded samples.

i do have a kind of workaround!!!
you'd also need motor :hihi:

two noises, same samples, one pitched up one down, or whatever, feed to motor, will go between the two
want more pitch variations!
send that motor and another noises, to another motor...

more complicated perhaps, much fun damn sure!!!
