I am just learning how to create instruments and especially sample based instruments/products with sample banks in MSF and I have some questions I think about since they possibly affect the workflow and I might evade misstakes.
- Can I access samples in a sample bank? Does that only work with presets that use them or is there any way to check the content of an unlocked SB otherwise?
EDIT: I must have made a misstake before - "Samples" Tab - click "Sample" for a list of the files in the sample bank (pure list, no functions).
Nex step: is there any way to select multiple samples and import them with mapping, velocity range etc. like with the "import samples" function?
- Can I delete samples from a sample bank? Let´s say I have a bank with 10 sets of multisamples and I want to delete one. I have seen that this could be done by excluding them in the "create product" dialogue. Will "exclude by keyword" work with the file names? Are there alternatives? Can I delete files before creating a product?
Thanks in advance!

Exporting a sample bank is the last thing you should do. First you should work with the samples themselves and when they are ready, you should compile them to a samplebank. While you can still access samples from a samplebank manually then, there are no complex importing functions and you cannot delete them.
