What's out there?

Thank you!

SPAN is great and being free, I hardly ever see anybody looking for an alternative.
Im using Hornet's MultiFreq, since its pretty clean, does its job and can act multichannell. Its very cheap, although not free. Thats my 2 cents.

LVC-Meter maybe?

Bluecat Freqanalyst,SIR spectrum analyzer free version,Oscarizor,Dust analyzer,Seven phases.

All of the mentioned will work, yet there is also a reason why most are just using Span (free).

Indeed. It's the best free spectrum analyzer for me.

Many thanks to those who made suggestions.

The Hornet is looking very tempting at half price. Some nice free stuff too. Certainly some selection out there.

ToneBoosters Spectrogram includes now a spectrum analyzer mode, probably not as deep as SPAN but it's a free alternative, as you asked:

Me neither :o

Unfortunately, one can't save the interface default state...

There was also the rumored SPAN Plus which doesn't exist, yet it does exist.

Post

And has existed for a decade?
Both regularly updated.

Not sure why you’d need an alternative to a regularly updated well coded free plugin
