Just copy your track. Add the plugin to one, invert the other and level match them. The track itself is then out of phase and just the effect remains. It´s noise correlated and modulated with music.fairlyclose wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 9:35 amhow did you do the test and what was the output? Looking at something like Devious Machines Texture that is the sort of process I alluded to earlier. However it is generating the texture where they might be being a little bit clever - as I also alluded to.

So it's a kind of dynamic dither at the noisefloor?
Could have sworn Airwindows did extensive research in this area...

Tried it quickly on some tracks. It destroyed clean tracks (something like phase issues adds uggly/distortion/noise). WTF.. is this a joke?
Maybe my material is sensetive...
Plugin analyzer shows funny random behaviour on sine waves...ugh.
Seriously... wtf...

Well, it´s not so dynamic, and not doing dithering, and not at the noisefloor.

That’s got to be the worst marketing blurb in the history of audio plugins… makes even IK Multimedial’s product announcements look like a no nonsense instruction manual.

for anyone who is interested my guess is they are using a variant of the surrogate data techniques described in this article and others by Theiler https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... 899290102S

Is this like all those pills and potions that never made my dick bigger? But it might make me think my dick is bigger? So it's a dick biggerizer?

Apparently, lots of ME is using it. Also Fidef seems to be a few years old already.
I wonder why, in some videos, when they're talking about it, there's music and visual effects typical for a "fairy tale, magic 432GHz Hitlah magic frequencies" BS.
Then I saw another video from one of Fidef preachers, talking for whole 10 minutes about the Correlation meter and 'magic' of Stereo Flip button (plugin from MAAT of course).
The overall vibe of people related to this tech reminds me of audiophile-sectarians - not the best image I would say.

Yes the same power spectrum, but subtle emphasis on some frequency areas.fairlyclose wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 10:11 pmHave you analysed the residual? Does it have the same power spectrum as the music?

most likely then one of the surrogate data methods for generating the noise I linked to above and then processing that through a filter to enhance psychoacoustically desirable features.sonicpowa wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 11:24 pmYes the same power spectrum, but subtle emphasis on some frequency areas.fairlyclose wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 10:11 pmHave you analysed the residual?
