It's not legal becuase you are breaking a license agreement.

I don't own "Wired", so I have not read the license agreement, but does it actually say that you are not allowed to manipulate the samples outside of the interface?

I would do as SF stated - bounce/render your fav loops to audio, then Recycle/Phatmatik it up or whatever.

Not as big a chore as you think - unless you want the whole library this way!

I would do this for a few specific loops for a few specific tracks.

Well, yes, I DO want the whole library that way. I'd rather pull ALL the loops I have into Stylus RMX, and use/tweak them there, and not have to bother with Intakt at all (I spend too much time learning the intracacies of various software as it is).

I personally fancy raping and pillaging every library I own in order to tailor it to fit my needs. No license agreement is gonna prevent that, and I also don't think they're intended for that. They're meant to prevent you from using the samples in ways which would be violating the license anyway.
Nobody's gonna prevent me from using the samples I licensed though. If I wanna lick the DVD, as long as I don't let anybody else lick on the DVD with content I licensed - no problem.

Maybe ya'll are gonna start using common sense once a license agreement comes along telling you not to use your samples between 2 and 7pm.

And god knows what I'm gonna do with chickensys translator once it supports kontakt, gs3 and sfz conversions :O
