You obviously know what’s going on. Blue Cat Audio keeps improving their products and it’s a pleasure to use them.

Right, AUv3's aren't .component types - AFAIK there's no standard directory from which a user can instantiate an AUv3. AUv2 hosts don't support AUv3's natively - such as Ableton Live. Here's a decent article from Apple on migrating V2 Audio Units hosts to V3: https://developer.apple.com/documentati ... e_auv3_apiBlue Cat Audio wrote: Mon Nov 22, 2021 10:16 amI was actually referring to Ocsprey's post regarding crashes. For AUV3 plug-ins I think I indeed understand the issue - properly supporting these will require the use of a system scanner to list the plug-ins.Vaultnaemsae wrote: Sun Nov 21, 2021 12:49 pm I don’t think you understand. Please read me details previous post again.

The problem is that AUV3 requires MacOS 10.10, and we are still trying to support MacOS10.9, as many customers are still running older systems, so it's a rather impacting move.

I think most machines that run 10.9 could go to 10.11 which I would recommend as absolute minimum anyway nowadays (actually more like 10.14). Older systems would still run older versions of the plugins, so not much is lost, but much more would be gained for the growing user base which is on more current versions…

Sure. But as we have just dropped 10.7 and 10.8 with a brand new build system because of M1 support, we just cannot change & re-test everything once again right now. It's time to write some new stuff, after spending so much time on dirty things!Tj Shredder wrote: Wed Dec 08, 2021 2:29 pm I think most machines that run 10.9 could go to 10.11 which I would recommend as absolute minimum anyway nowadays (actually more like 10.14). I just wanted to give you the heads up that a new preview of PatchWork that supports non-M1 Audio Unit plug-ins without being launched under Rosetta is now available.
You should now be able to load older non-M1 plug-ins (as Audio Units only) even when running PatchWork in native M1 mode.
Enjoy!

Sure, we are currently working on new builds for Blue Cat's Axiom, Late Replies and MB-7 Mixer to incorporate this new feature.Vaultnaemsae wrote: Mon Mar 14, 2022 4:18 am That's really great news. Are we likely to see similar applied to a future version of Axiom?
