Hi,

I'm completely new to MuLab, but so far I'm loving it. However, I was expecting a "mixer" button that once you click on it, a mixer panel would pop up. So, I believe M9 does things differently, right?

Any insights about mixing a song would be appreciated.

Cheers

Hey, on the right of tempo there is an icon with 3 faders in it, this is what you are looking for.
What kind of a song are you mixing (style, genre)?

Ok found it. Wow..it's so different from the other DAWs. Where are all those mixing knobs? hahahaha

Not mixing yet, but I'm working on a synthwave style song.

While I occasionally listen to some synthwave, I'm not too much into it, therefore I will give you some general info that I think most people would agree with:
1. Make your track sound good already before mixing, there are things that cannot be fixed in the mixing process and the same applies to mastering (your mix has to sound good before mastering).
2. Most of the mixing is getting the volume balance right, but it is always better to assume a volume automation is needed. I like to loop the loudest part and set the faders, then I would listen to the entire composition and listen for parts needing volume automation.
3. Load up your favourite synthwave tracks and mix according to them.

In the Mux presets/Effects, e.g. Channel Strip ECS, used as a module or in a rack.
