Version 12 release date?

If I recall correctly, TSC has pretty constantly raised prices with new versions and at the same time increased the amount of content in the basic bundle. From TSC's perspective, the upgrade price is the upgrade price and the DAW Essentials are now included with the basic bundle.

This has all happened before.

If I theoretically subtract the price of the DAW Essentials upgrade of $50, that would put the upgrade closer to the traditional price of $49.

Heard from Brian at Tracktion, who said that the included options cannot be unbundled. And I did not see the DAW Essential load up in the Waveform effects plugins folder, so unless I should be looking somewhere else, they're NOT included.

However, check your emails--there's a 20% discount going on right now for early adopters. With that, I was able to purchase and install v12.

Thanks--to clarify, I did NOT own DAW Essentials, but the Tracktion website listed it as included in the basic Pro package.

And it didn't seem to install... unless it's replacing the original compressor, EQ, reverb, etc.

They installed for me separately (after W12 had installed) on their own.

They installed to:

C:>Program Files>Steinberg>VstPlugins>Tracktion

by default, if you want to look for them.

Yes, but you had DAW Essentials originally. I'm not sure where in the plugin menu to find them. They're not under Waveform's plugin folders. I'll look again, though.

DAW Essentials are bundled with Waveform but since they are a separate product they do not install with Waveform. The same is true of Collective.

I used Tracktion Download Manager after purchasing the upgrade and it did pick up the DAW Essentials collection and installed them at the same time as it installed the DAW itself, but the plugins from the collection are opening as trial versions, and the "Unlock" button on the plugin indicates I have a "successful free trial registration" and instructs me to restart the DAW, which still leaves them in trial mode. I did open a ticket with support, no response yet except that the request was received.

Several of those changes have been on my wishlist or look very handy, so insta-buy for me.

Will Waveform Free be updated with the new engine? It’s still the old version.

Any comments on how the new engine works? CPU use? Crashes? Latency?
