Damn you Korg!![]()
EDIT: I'll get hardware anyway to spend less time looking at a monitor screen. Eye's health is always a good excuse for hardware GAS

No way! CPU in Wavestate produces tru analog harmonics while PC CPU is generating digital harmonics (Intel especially has more 3rd harmonics than AMD)

Won't be able to demo for a few days, but curious, for those who have tried this or the hardware - How are the MS20 filters? I never liked the Korg MS20, but maybe it was more about the oscillators or other parts of the signal path. Do you find the sound of the MS20 modelled filters in the wavestate to be an improvement over the fairly old MS20 plugin?
Also, MPE compatibility would be nice, but doesn't seem like that's on their radar.

Never ever expected Korg to release these soft synths! Just tried the Wavestate Native. I love it. It's much easier to program than the Wavestation plug-in and the GUI to me looks similar to that of Pigments. Well, I bought a $1,500 Fender Precision Bass 2 weeks ago, so I need to find a way to raise a fund...

The website says gigabytes of samples but the installer said 64mb needed or something small? I have all the samples in the demo but is it missing stuff that the hw synth has or did it just install gigabytes of samples somewhere else without asking? lol

I can understand that - these are not legacy products.

I imagine the reason why the Opsix GUI looks like it was done in the house style of Native Instruments is just due to them hiring the same designer or a designer influenced by NI's designer.

I thought that might have been the issue too, but Korg changed the name of the Legacy Bundle to just Korg Collection quite awhile ago.. I suspect for the reason to allow them such a flexibility.
I suspect these may come in Korg Collection 4.
We shall see.

The hw has around 4GB of samples (+allows 4GB of your own samples in v2.0). It'd be very strange for the plugin not to have all the hw samples...possibly the demo is limited but you get it all when you buy?Zoopy wrote: Tue Mar 22, 2022 4:30 pm The website says gigabytes of samples but the installer said 64mb needed or something small? Top right triple dot menu, Settings, you can set user sample data folder.

That's for the user samples only (as created through Sample Builder).EvilDragon wrote: Tue Mar 22, 2022 4:51 pm Top right triple dot menu, Settings, you can set user sample data folder.
A note from the manual:
"Where are sounds stored?
The sound database and factory Multisamples are stored in a dedicated folder structure:
• macOS: /Users/Shared/KORG/wavestate native/System
• Windows: \Users\Public\Public Documents\KORG\wavestate native\System User Multisamples can be stored anywhere."
