New Arturia granular effect plugin

Looks and sounds really nice from the reviews that I've seen, but I'm not interested in more granular effects. I wonder, however, if they have any plans on releasing a similar effect plugin for all of the distortion modes in Pigments (especially the new updated ones). That would definitely catch my attention...

the granular does have distortion, which can be used as fx alone
(feedback: off, grain vol: -70%, grain mix: 0%) as far as i can see
fewer modes though, not sure about the updated ones
quite an aliasing festival imho...

Padshop is also available as a standalone instrument without Cubasenoiseboyuk wrote: Sat Mar 05, 2022 8:26 amGotta be honest I usually never even try the stock plugins with a DAW. Steinberg recently pulling Loopmash is a very good reason why - it is not compatible with Cubase 12. Won't even launch. So at any time, those bundled goodies they can take away from you. Same with Avid and Pro Tools, with all the plugins that only work if you pay the annual tax.
Just got EFX yesterday. Yet to use it in anger, but liked the demo very much.

very tempted to buy
is having multiple instances of Fragments open seemingly causing issues because I'm running demo version ?
I'm using Bitwig 4.2 - one instance absolutely fine - but add a 2nd instance and all the controls lock-up can't do anything
anyone else using Bitwig and had similar problem please ?

Definitely worth a buy.Buckster wrote: Wed Mar 16, 2022 7:30 pm very tempted to buy

This happend to me as well but I found that you can run as many instances as you like by just going to Bitwig settings and clicking the 'per plug in override' button for efx fragments and it works fine.
I assume the freezing on multiple GUI instances without this setting is just an early version shared graphics bug

I have their other effects plugins, I have no issue with getting this either. I do have Silo, but at a crossgrade price of $30 its definitely a must get for me.

Using it everywhere on my music projects at the moment. I didn't own a granular effect before and it's a lot of fun to add weird reverb/ambiances or cool sounding artefacts along the course in a track.

I've found with a few hosts that having multiple GUIs open for Arturia plugins causes this kind of thing. They're usually not fully frozen, but mega slow to respond to anything.

This thing is amazing - so creative. Completely transforms anything.
