School me on account takeovers. Aren't they a little legally dubious?

You're right... it's so risky. I think it isn't a good idea for buying and selling, but in Antares case, you can't transfer your license, so the only way to sell them is making an "account takeover".

I bought 2 Waves plug-ins from best service (Clarity VX and CR8 Creative Sampler)

Don't worry, you will get the email from Waves. I was in the same situation yesterday. I bought 2 plugins from a reseller too and it took more than 15 hours for the link to arrive. Best Service is part of this, just like any other resellers. I did send one email to Waves Order Support and I received the link after that.

Where did you buy the plugins LoveEnigma18? I'm looking for sites with best offers than Waves page.

You're right... it's so risky. I think it isn't a good idea for buying and selling, but in Antares case, you can't transfer your license, so the only way to sell them is making an "account takeover".

I've never done an account takeover but I would use PayPal Goods and Services and detail the transaction in the narrative. ie exactly what's being done. So if the person does claim that they've been hacked and gets his account back, you can go to PayPal and hopefully get your money back.

Sure, but with a minimum spend of $32 you'd have to buy something else before the voucher triggered, a free, no minimum $20 voucher is perfect for transfer fees.

But, I'm just chewing the cud, reckon they'll be other vouchers soon enough.

I am asking because i do not receive mails from PA for a few months now. I contacted their support a few times already to no avail. Strange thing is, after buying, i immediately receive a mail. No idea what‘s going there…
So this forum is my only chance to get infos about actual vouchers.

- if your main concern is getting a low price, the best time to buy a plugin is two years from now
- if you want 100% certainty that you'll buy it at the lowest price ever, don't buy it... ever

Wonder if the $10 deal will come back periodically. Most DAWs have a decent sampler and Cosmos is free. Main benefit of CR8 seems to be workflow speed-up, especially with the ability to audition Cosmos sounds based on tags or through the similarity cloud.

Yeah, it's $29 now.

I've found it a great addition to Reaper (whose inbuilt sampler is... rudimentary... ) just wish the Wave plugin services weren't so greedy.
