Could the data base be expanded to organize our own plugins better?

would it be an idea, if the data base could be used to organize our own plugins?
It maybe would not take that much:
- display plugin data base as "lists"
- hide the ones one does not have
- a column with tags/attributes & let one group the plugins by those tags/attributes (so one instantly knows, what plugin is/does what, etc)
- allow to enter ones plugins actual version in a list and ideally display the latest version next to it
I often read "I spent too much time searching in my plugins" or " I did not use this because I forgot I have it" etc. What do you think? Would it be helpful for you?

nope.
An idiot on Set Theory:

Why not? Don't you have too many plugins? Do you know everytime you need a certain plugin (like "Gate" etc) all the ones you have? Which DAW are you using and how do you organize those, which are not easy to categorize? Or if you got many in one folder (like if one has a lot of Acustica stuff) how do you know, which does what/is which?
thanks for tipps!

yes, since they're all under effects>mixing>dynamics>gates in my plugin menu.Do you know everytime you need a certain plugin (like "Gate" etc) all the ones you have?
Primarily Live and Bidule, but also MuLab, Waveform and Samplitude. Also Protools, which, unfortunately is a law unto itself.Which DAW are you using
Im not aware of any that arent easy to categorise, since I have a good categorisation system.and how do you organize those, which are not easy to categorize?
