Hello, new member here and new user of Msuperlooper with a kind of basic question.

Is it possible to preprogram and automate the recording and playback of loops in Msuperlooper using some kind of user-friendly sequencer tool built around a timeline kind of view? I have seen this feature being used in Ableton Live Looper, Loopy Pro, Zen Audio ALK, etc. where you schedule when a recording for a track begins, when the recording ends, and when the loop will be played and paused alleviating the need to manually control all of this via a midi controller or through the app directly.

I have not seen any videos or other documentation suggesting this is an available feature and I have not figured it out myself during my limited time with the demo of the program so far. So the question is, am I overlooking how to enable this feature or is there an additional plugin that I could use to accomplish this? Note, I am not tied down to one particular DAW (currently evaluating paid options as an upgrade from Cakewalk), so anything approach that works on a PC should fair game.

Figured some additional background might be of interest. I am relatively new to looping and find that I would have better success with it if I could automate the looping process for preprogrammed songs so I did not have to also mentally process the looing control efforts and go through the tap dancing of midi controlling for the looping control while also going through the tap dancing efforts to change scenes for my guitar tones, AND trying to still concentrate on most important parts of playing and singing at the same time. Just the playing and singing part takes up all of my mental capacity and I still have plenty of room for improvement there haha.

Creating automation in your daw should work out for that approach.

Yep agreed with ericzang, automation in the DAW.
Reaper would work great, plus tons of videos available to walk you through the process.
Can't go wrong with Kenny Gioia for tuts.

I still prefer using a foot controller, seems much more flexible to me.

Equally, you could bind the desired commands to different MIDI notes, and then use the piano roll to sequence in all your moves. Here's a quick example in Reaper:

I’m doing this. Let me know if you’re still interested.
