 Thanks for the update

I got it a couple months back and flipped through the presets, thought it was not bad but nothing special.

I've finally got down to experimenting on this after this last update, and my perception has completely flipped. The filters sound amazing. There are 4 flavours of analog lowpass now with multiple sculpting options and healthy dose of non-linearity. Independent oscillator drift. Completely polyphonic and 4x oversampling.

If you already have something like Diva this may not impress you much, but for a fraction of the price (usually goes on sale for about $20 ish) this is well worth it. Presets are okay but you need to start tweaking to unlock the synths full potential.

the one limiting factor, really the only thing that puts me off making my own sounds is the silly "either envelope or filter" toggle. It's nuts. There are a ton of other controls that could have been in the toggled panels, but 'envelopes or filter' is so workflow inhibiting.

There would have to be a shit-ton of synth fans that have quickly come across this aspect of the GUI and just deleted the demo regardless of the sound, which is a shame for the potential user base, but it's a bad design.

I use this one particulary as a 'preset machine' since most presets (and expansions) are geared towards melodic techno, techno, deeper progressive dance music etc. Which is just my thing when it comes to productions :)

Though I have to say; the process of updating can really use some attention; I tried updating to 1.0.8 from 1.0.7 and the installer showed a message saying I should first deinstall the previous version and back-up the presets manually.
Besides manually uninstalling is kinda weird or user 'unfriendly' I would say manually backing up the presets is something that shouldn't be necessary. I think there is just too much room for error here. Also the new installation 'forgets' all favorite presets...

Agree. I work past it but it's a strange decision for sure. Especially with the big graphic crossfader thing too. I meant to email them and suggest a redesign for v2 maybe.

Besides that though I still like it a lot, didn't even bother reinstalling vacuum pro after a recent rebuild. :)

There are workarounds in the modern day. Pick the envelope function on the synth and use the LFO's provided in DAW's and link it. I agree though that it isn't good design.

They updated it recently to 1.0.9. Hard to know what was fixed, though, because the changelog isn't specific. All the knobs and everything else looks the same so I'm guessing it's all under-the-hood improvements.

One thing I did notice with 1.0.8 was the arp drifts out of time the longer it plays in a track. Maybe they fixed that. Would've been nice, though, if they'd added more than three destinations for the LFO.

And yeah, Proclethya does remind me of Vacuum Pro except Vacuum has more features and dual layer, so some of the sounds are pretty complex. Proclethya does have a much better arp/step sequencer, though. Plus, it's easier to read its text than the tiny ones in Vacuum Pro.

What killed it was the dev's claim that it had a proper analogue sound, which got under more than a few noses around here when it was released. I don't remember it being free, though, but I do remember trying it out and not being overly impressed. Not sure why because today I love it. At the time I probably just went through the presets and didn't take it any further.

When I started the other thread this morning, I didn't even bother looking to see if there was already one. I figured this synth had long since been forgotten so it's good to see it still has its fans.

I remember a while back some plug being marketed like that and the devs *really* pushed back against any criticism, maybe it was Proclethya but didn't think it was.....?

It was only free for a week or two about a year ago, I just chanced across the announcement on some site like bedroomproducersblog.

really good, but in FL to much CPU - unfortunately

Sounds good, but it's too simple for me. I'd pay double their asking price if it had things like filter FM, and the ability to assign polyphonic aftertouch, or better yet, MPE abilities. I can do just as well using Softube Modular or VCV if I want to go polyphonic.
