You'll be able to keep the 15.02 installed. But I don't follow the reasoning - if you used them some time ago with a 32-bit DAW, which is now 64-bit, it should open it just fine with 64-bit plugins.TheSteven wrote: Mon Mar 14, 2022 9:28 pm While I don't need to have the 32 bit versions updated, let alone reinstalled every release I would hate to have them deleted or broken as I have used them on some old projects.

Really? Some devs change plugin ID between x86 and x64 versions, and some daws have sometimes issues in this regard... if Melda is not among them and you keep compatibility with old projects I'm all for itMeldaProduction wrote: Sun Apr 03, 2022 5:49 pmYou'll be able to keep the 15.02 installed. EDIT: ah, and what if I used 32 bit versions with a 64 daw - bridged? The same applies?

Well, technically VST2 and VST3 have completely different ID formats and most DAWs actually ignore the VST2 ID completely, since there is not global database and there's a high risk of collision, so using name (and ID as backup) is actually safer.
