Waveform 12 Pro - Is it a problem: Tracks Area Drag and Over tracks area?

Hello,
I am testing the Linux version of Waveform Pro 12 on my Ubuntu machine. Waveform 12 is a great DAW!
Settings -> General -> Mouse -> Tracks Area Drag: Drag to draw marked region
Settings -> General -> Mouse -> Over tracks area: Wheel scrolls vertically + Wheel scrolls horizontally
1 Waveform Manual says:
"Tracks area drag: * Drag to draw marked region * Drag to select clips (default) * Drag to move playhead *
Set to “Drag to draw marked region” the I-beam range cursor is the default. This is a powerful editing mode and many users will want to choose this option.
When in this mode hold Opt / Alt while dragging to select clips."
-> *Drag to draw marked region" works perfect, but holding Alt doesn't drag to select clips, it moves the waveform interface. If I hold Shift + Alt it draws a marked region again.
-> *Drag to select clips* works perfect too AND holding Shift + Alt is drawing a marked region!
2 Waveform Manual says: "Choose what the mouse feel does with the pointer is over the tracks area. (Default = Wheel scrolls vertically)"
The wheel doesn't scroll horizontally or vertically, in both cases it zoomes like in "Tracks area right drag".
Is this behaviour only on my Ubuntu machine or are these bugs?
Thanks in advance and have a great day.

You need/should to change your Ubuntu desktop alt drag action, this is a common shortcut in a few applications, which coincides with Ubuntu's default drag window action.
You should see it under Ubuntu's settings > keyboard shortcuts

Hello mikoatkvr,
thank you very much for your info!
1 As you said, changing the Alt binding of the "drag window action" in my Ubuntu settings fixed the first problem "Tracks Area Drag: Drag to draw marked region". Waveform works as expected now!
2 Is there a solution like that for the second problem "Over tracks area: Wheel scrolls vertically + Wheel scrolls horizontally"
Waveform Manual says: "Choose what the mouse feel does with the pointer is over the tracks area. (Default = Wheel scrolls vertically)"
The wheel doesn't scroll horizontally or vertically, in both cases it zoomes like in "Tracks area right drag"

Glad that did the trick for the 1st issue
For issue 2 I think the manual is a bit outdated with recent changes so I believe the following should fix your issue ....
Go to Waveform > Settings > General > Mouse > Wheel and choose ' Zooms Horizontally '
Now if you want to scroll just use shift with the mouse wheel , or Ctrl mouse wheel to zoom the tracks vertically .

Hey mitkoatkvr - Master of Waveform Settings!
Thank you very much again!
You're right, with the settings you suggested, Waveform 12 behaves like expected.
I like Waveform 12. Great DAW!
Have a great evening and cheers ...
