Hi... like the title suggests, I'm trying to modulate a vst eq inside of a mux which is inside a rack. Its the Gain parameter of the EQ.
I have a multipoint envelope generator at project level, and it has a modulation output(green)... how do I attach that to the gain of the eq inside the mux.
On the rack I can add an Event 2 Input using setup aux inputs but I don't see a way to do that with modulation(green connection). I can connect the vst gain to MP of the mux, but still cant figure out to connect the MP to the multipoint envelope modulation output.
Thanks... sorry no pictures atm

Hi, I just tried this and it seems it is impossible for a rack to have a modulation input pin. You could still achieve what you want by taking that mux from the rack and putting it into a composer's modular area, because mux, unlike rack, can have a mod input pin. If you put a modulation input in the composer's modular area it will show up on project level mux, from there you can attach your modulator. Also you do not need to use meta parameters to modulate vsts - just hook up parameter event generator to the vst and from there you are good to go.

thanks for looking, will give this a go. was also thinking about trying to convert the modulation output to cc message and connecting that way, not sure if that will work. will try when I'm home thankshumanboeing wrote: Tue Apr 05, 2022 4:24 pm Hi, I just tried this and it seems it is impossible for a rack to have a modulation input pin.
