The question is how much functions to add and where to stop. But I guess zooming is quite useful.harmlessM wrote: Sat Mar 26, 2022 6:20 pmThanks - I was originally trying to have a relative encoder value so twisting right zooms in and left zooms out. That's not currently possible right? I have clicking an encoder mapped to zooming in and clicking the one next to it for zooming out for now.moss wrote: Wed Mar 23, 2022 8:46 amYou can use the 8 actions. I have a new midi controller and got it working pretty quickly with the generic flexi device. I see that there are scroll/pan options for the track and clips - I'm confident I can get those working once I tell my controller to send relative positions from the encoders rather than absolute. Are there options to control zoom? I'm considering wanting to map an encoder to the zoom of the detail editor, so that I can zoom/pan around with encoders while I'm using my mouse to enter notes. I didn't see something like this in the flexi config but I might have missed it.
Also, I didn't see a way to scroll/pan the detail editor window. Does that exist? (I found scrolling which track is selected, but I'm talking about the detail editor window where you enter notes).

I completely understand. There's so much in there already that I actually suspected it already did what I wanted and it was just that I couldn't find it. Even without those specific features the whole thing is incredibly useful and relatively straightforward to get something up and running with. Thanks again.moss wrote: Sun Mar 27, 2022 10:04 amThe question is how much functions to add and where to stop. I thought about this but I think this is already pretty crammed with functions. So, at least for the moment, no.

Hi Moss,
When you released DBM15.5, you added some functionality to the Push 2 to load tracks with an instrument on them. My question is can this be expanded or added to the Generic Flexi script somehow? I think there is a lot of potential here to speed up workflows with a rudimentary 'macro' system (like hotkey macro, not twisty knob macro). A single button could make a new track, load a preset or device, set volume levels or input selection, etc. Or quickly add your most used devices or racks to existing tracks. Or maybe you would like to bounce a clip to a new track, deactivate the original track, and put the new clip into a sampler device, all with one key or button command. This is a critical area of Bitwig that is lacking IMO (user defined keyboard or controller hotkeys/macros that can control anything else in Bitwig).
Secondly, is it possible to accommodate 'SHIFT' or 'ALT' buttons in the Generic Flexi script? For example, assign 'Knob 1' to CC 71, then also assign 'Knob 1' + 'SHIFT' to CC 72. Considering what you can already do with the Flexi, it could be used to make custom scripts inside Bitwig that are almost as powerful as a full on specific controller script. The main thing here would be exposing most of the power of DBM to non-coding people. I know it already does so much, but taking it further could be the answer to a lot of these other feature requests. Users can trade the setup files and customize as they wish.
Finally, have you seen ClyphX Pro for Live? If so, do you think something like that is possible for Bitwig? Would be a gamechanger for the power users. Thanks!

Hi sir on the akai fire, I know pressing alt and record starts recording a clip. Is there a way though to just add a blank midi pattern so we can use the step sequencer mode while the pattern is stopped. So far I can use the mouse to click the clip to add a blank midi pattern but just wondering if we could do that pressing something else plus record. Or what about long pressing record by itself. Is that doable?

Hi Moss!
I've been working through the manual for the Maschine Jam and I wondering if it is possible to set the loop range in the Arranger view from the controller itself.

Interesting idea, maybe something for the long run. Will note it.teknoman wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 8:48 pm When you released DBM15.5, you added some functionality to the Push 2 to load tracks with an instrument on them. There is support for the Shift button, you can find it in "Global: Shift button".teknoman wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 8:48 pm Secondly, is it possible to accommodate 'SHIFT' or 'ALT' buttons in the Generic Flexi script? It is not documented well but basically you can use it to slow down the knob movements and adds a second function to buttons (just experiment a bit)
I looked at it in the past. Should be possible but not sure how much realtime it could be. Didn't see the benefits back then.teknoman wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 8:48 pm Finally, have you seen ClyphX Pro for Live? If so, do you think something like that is possible for Bitwig? Could be Shift+Alt. Will add it to the wishlist.melodyz wrote: Sun Apr 10, 2022 11:56 am Hi sir on the akai fire, I know pressing alt and record starts recording a clip. Experimenting with live looping and push4bitwig script again! Focussing on more live sounding instruments.
I will try to gather my best thoughts on workflows for this method of live jamming with the script and make a video some time. Has to be said again, thank you Moss for all the hard work and thought you put into this.
Is anyone else also doing this kind of thing with the script?
