Yes I guess it's totally possibly. The only problem is, you can only have 1 per month, and it's no subscription like the mega bundle, so you can buy max 12 a year. (For me it's enough, I only want 3 currently).Apratim wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 7:48 pmi am just wondering will it be ok if i just want a single plugin and cancel my subscription on spot after i buy thatdermage wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 6:05 pmIn the beginning after the subscription started, sometimes it was ok to pay 50 for a plugin which would go to 30 only after a year (+half sometimes).davestretch wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 5:37 pmWell, anyone that pays more than $30 for a PA plugin nowadays is just a sucker.dermage wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 4:58 pmFinally something for old heavy hitters. Yes but these $31 are probably not valid as a threshold for the vouchers as any other subscription, even if at this point vouchers become practically useless.Maxwell Houser wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 11:19 pmSo I can get Tails for $31 if I sign up even though it just came out?…davestretch wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 4:44 pm Plugin Alliance have just launched their Forever $29 subscription service - you pay $29 per month (can cancel at anytime!) and each month you receive a code to buy ANY of their plugins for $1 - no blackouts.

I didn't do anything particular in this case. I completed the order and started the trial just as I did when I acquired Choir a few weeks ago. I used PayPal for checkout.wangeroge wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 7:47 pmHow did you do that? I press the START TRIAL button and get "Error - You have already used your trial." I can't select month or year. I only once took the trial when they offered Choir.Fidelitymusic wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 3:54 pmIt appears the previous 14-day trial was for Auto-Tune Unlimited Annual, this one is for Auto-Tune Unlimited Monthly. I just successfully completed the order without charge.wangeroge wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 3:42 pm If I start my Auto-Tune Unlimited Monthly (6 months goodwill) now, will I get the FREE copy of Articulator? I already used my 14 days free trial to get Choir.
Is your previous trial period from the Choir offer still active?

Heads-up for new customers of Antares who want the free Articulator plugin.
The process is by far the most onerous of any I have been through.
Antares managed to include every possible annoying step in authorising plugins!
After creating an Antares account, you need to complete a multi-page marketing survey (how much money do you make, etc) with email confirmations to activate that account, then it downloads Articulator with the entire Avox 4 trial bundle. Then you download the Codemeter license manager and go through multiple steps, more questions and email confirmations to activate Codemeter, you need to activate AutoTune in Codemeter to activate Articulator but Codemeter does not activate in some DAWs, some Avox plugin menus do not work on all DAWs, there is no VST2, and to top it off, Articulator VST3 crashes some DAWs! Just wow.
I cancelled the subscription, and learned that I need to keep the 100MB Codemeter app installed forever if I want to use the 25MB free plugin.
The time you waste is worth much more than the plugin.
I am so turned off Antares as a company.

“This deal is insane. Can I have two or more plans at the same time to grow my PA collection faster?
Absolutely! Start two FOREVER 29 plans and get 2 codes every month.
or save up the vouchers:”
“If I don't use a voucher in one month, can I store it and use it later?
Yes, of course.”
So theoretically you can take out 3 or 4 subscriptions for one month and hang on to the vouchers.

Wow. Yeah, I only got about a third of the way through all that before I noped on outta there. Sounds like it got even worse. I'd actually never heard of CodeMeter before except a couple people mentioning it here as a real problem, so I'm glad I stopped before I got far enough to install it.Michael L wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 5:13 am Heads-up for new customers of Antares who want the free Articulator plugin.

The enforced survey thing really is a biscuit-taker, though; I've never seen that before. And it looks like they haven't updated their DAW choices since 2005... neither Studio One nor Reaper were on the list, and they didn't even have a "something else" option. That really unreasonably annoyed me.
Is Antares really a big enough name that they can afford to be so customer-offensive? I mean, they have the trademark on "AutoTune", but there's plenty of competitors... and honestly, I've looked at their harmonizers and such, and even their demos sound like hot garbage. If they can't even find a way to make it sound appealing in their store...

Yep - so really you can just take out a 1 month subscription at any time to grab the ones you want and then done. Quite a clever tactic by PA as it completely devalues Licence Transfers making them pointless (unless you pick up a cheap licence and just before a Mega Sale each Q when they normally send out $20 vouchers).markrs wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 5:20 amThough you can have multiple subscriptions to get more per month:dermage wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 6:05 pm

i hate subscription services as this one isnt that bad..
you can get a brand new plugin each month for about $30 and you get too keep it and can cancel at anytime.
if this deal is still going in a few months ill give it a try at the minute though some of the benifits are mac only (free masters/sampler) once these are pc users too ill jump in.

I hope that the $29-move doesn´t mean that PA needs money desperately and is on its way out - on the other hand, I can´t imagine they ever sold a lot of plugins at their regular prices anyway, and possibly live quite well by selling a ton of plugins during their continuous super duper mega sales.
Quite a few of their plugins are very good and worth more than $29 in comparison, but I more or less gave up on them because having to check back for "sale + voucher" time and regularly seeing a better price for something I just bought a week before was absolutely annoying.
That $29 "subscription" works for me, though - I appreciate that this is a small step back from their annoying "buy it now. cheapest ever. here´s a voucher on top" marketing and I´ll be getting the plugins I want one after the other. Well, and it works for them because I´ll probably just keep that monthly payment running after I got the 5, 6 plugins I want now.
Whether it´s good for the market and whether it hurts smaller developers that yet another company basically says "don´t pay more than $29 for a plugin" is another question. There may also be a PAUP soon

Month-by-month subscription only suggests they might discontinue it in a few months... OTOH if they wanted maximal cash immediately to stay afloat they'd have offered an annual one-time payment option.epiphaneia wrote: Sat Apr 09, 2022 1:29 pm I hope that the $29-move doesn´t mean that PA needs money desperately and is on its way out - on the other hand, I can´t imagine they ever sold a lot of plugins at their regular prices anyway, and possibly live quite well by selling a ton of plugins during their continuous super duper mega sales.

Could also backfire by devaluing license transfers, so people no longer think they can resell something (for a worthwhile amount) if they don't use it enough / find something they like more (I'd guess vast majority never bother).

The thing is that $30 is still a bit much for a PA plugin
