I want to let Patchwork in standalone version to read existing wave files.
Then there are several parallel chains with different modifications.
So it is easy to swich between these modifications.
In the Audio Setup I can only connect to an Audi Interface or connecto / network.
As a workaround, a plugIn might help me, that is simple. Only to read a existing wave file.
Or am I missing something?
Thanks, Willy

You are indeed right, you will simply need a plug-in that can load wav files and load it in the first load in PatchWork. PatchWork does not have a built-in audio file player.

The alternative is hosting Patchwork inside something that can play audio files. Audacity would be a good choice because its free.
my other modular synth is a bugbrand

Audacity is however not processing in real time if I remember well.

Thank you,
I have used Patchwork inside Vegas Pro 18, thats working.
A new question: will the multi CPU core support of Patchwork inside Vegas Pro as well as in an standalone VST host?
I am at the point to buy a PC with i9 and GPU.
Will patchwork use the GPU?
Thanks, Willy

Yes, multicore works both for the app and plug-ins. However it is useful only for parallel chains. You can read more about it here:
