Did you do a re-scan? Prefs/VST ... if you have switched off re-scan at startup you can miss updates etc!

I had the same problem yesterday but with another plugin and I just added the path of the new plugin in the settings / plugins section. Did a re-scan and it worked perfectly in Reaper.

I played with it for a little while and truthfully I'm not enjoying the synth at all. I won't be participating this round, but am looking forward to next month's OSC. Good luck everyone!

When there's two versions of a plugin present, REAPER will show only one. Which one that will be, is dependent on their locations in the VST folder structure. Sometimes it is possible to have two versions side by side by renaming one of the files involved, which can be convenient. Sometimes it isn't, probably depends on VST ID being identical or not. In this case you may have to locate the old MG-1 and delete it. On rare occasions it may be necessary to remove the plugin's entry from "C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\REAPER\reaper-vstplugins64.ini" to force a re-scan. My installation was quite old, btw, but shows no available update.

I would like to submit this song for this month. I made it for learning purpose to practice the pentatonic system and thus it should sound a bit like the western cliche of Asian music put into a synth composition:

https://soundcloud.com/frank-geppert-19 ... al_sharing

It uses 18 instances of the instrument and some inbuilt EQs, reverbs, comps and delays.

Edit: I re-uploaded the song with a better mix. I am still learning how to mix the channels right. Fortunatelly the upload uses the same title and thus old links should still work.

As soon as I saw the title I knew there would be complaining about having to sign up for a website. I would also like to put in a formal complaint about having to sign up to the OSC website, as well as KVR itself. It's just such a hassle.

Cool!
(Sorry about my bad English, i use Reverso  )
A few weeks ago, I didn’t know there were OSC.
And I had fun testing emulations of synthesizers, I had already, recently, the Surrealistic MG-1 Plus and the FB-7999, it was by documenting myself on FB-7999 that I saw that there was this KVR contest.
I just had surgery, I’m not too fit, but I plan to participate in OSC#158, just for fun, and then there are 3 weeks left, it’s fine. The Surrealistic MG-1 Plus works perfectly, resizable, beautiful graphically, we can come out of nice sounds, but I have trouble making good snares...
I don’t mind signing up.
I listened to all the compositions of the previous OSC (and I plan to do it again a second time) many have a big level. Whereas I consider myself a beginner, but I like to test new synths. 8)

Bienvenue! (In terrible anglophone Canadian accent) :)

Just do not forget to vote, else your entry gets disqualified.

I was equally uninspired with this synth. I've had to take a different approach this round. I've found a way of amusing myself :) I hope next month is something fruiter than a basic subtractive synth.
