Is the Arturia website not working for anyone else? No matter what browser I use or what page I try to access it's just completely blank.

It fama per urbes… :-D
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

The site is likely getting hammered, as is the PA site. Both announced free stuff today. I got my Arturia license, but its been downloading for over an hour and is still at about 25% done.

Lovely sound but crazy CPU hit
Mac Studio M4

Cubase 15, Ableton Live 12

I got Augmented Strings Intro "activated" in ASC. There is no "Install" button. I'm on an M1 Mac.

Download failed after 3 hours ... :(

This can be quite CPU intensive. Play some chords and the Del Mar patch can get into the 55% on the plugin's CPU meter and by them I'm hearing crackles (couldn't tell you the last time I heard those). This is with an AMD 3950x, which I thought was plenty fast. Then again, I'm running at 88.2khz with a 96 sample buffer so it could be the low latency and odd size throwing things off.

I don't get the hype. Underwhelming. Even for free.
There are two kinds of people in the world. And you're not one of them.

Sounds nice and I appreciate the freebie. But wow, CPU use is wild. I'm wondering if the CPU use is a bug now, as it uses a good 10% with no sounds playing.

Five notes played with the "Go To" preset in Studio One. (i7 8700K)

I've got entire finished projects that don't top 40% on the same system.

Looking at the size and shape of Augmented Strings I'm wondering if it's not built on the Pigments framework since it too can be quite CPU demanding with certain settings.

That meter shows you the CPU usage of the max taxed core. It's not using 40% of your entire CPU but 40% of a single core. Still high, but just wanted to clarify that.

Not sure about that I’m getting similar readings in Cubase on Ryzen 5950x with some presets. The metering in Cubase shows ASIO load. I set poly to 16 voices and got crackles. This plugin is a pig. I own Arturia plugin and none of them hit the cpu as hard as this one .
