Some have proven this is only a latter of 0 and 1 and managed to obtain 0 when they sustract sound from Ableton and Logic that is to say they sound the same.
In my opinion, Logic sounds better than Ableton, perhaps a better mixer channel summation ?
Both soft are full of all codes now and must be seriously refreshed. Logic has still old 2000 ui for several lmlugins : ES2, Ultrabeat, ES1, FM....

I think it sounds much better. It just rolls off your tongue. Logic X. Just say it. Ableton… so awkward. Means nothing.

I love it when necro threads come back like zombies to deliver more KVR-style argument. Yes it does, no it doesn't ... night of the living dead.
This argument was solved long ago anyway. Everyone already knows Cubase sounds better because Hans Zimmer said so.

you probably never heard about TONEDAW! ^^mholloway wrote: Sat Mar 18, 2017 1:35 am Here we go again!
I'll keep this brief:
No, Logic does not "have a better sound engine" than Ableton.
They are both transparent.
If there's nothing on your master bus, and nothing different between the two channels in each DAW that have Oddity2 on it, then <<<<<wait for it>>>>> the difference you hear is ENTIRELY IN YOUR MIND.
And that is that.![]()
But, since your placebo will tell you otherwise, go ahead and dive into the THOUSANDS OF PAGES of discussion that exist here and elswhere on this matter. Pay especially close attention to zero sum tests that have been performed countless times.
There is no difference.
Move along.![]()

Exactly, and BitWig, nothing good about that, unless you're like eight or something.zerocrossing wrote: Fri Apr 08, 2022 2:46 pm I think it sounds much better. It just rolls off your tongue. Logic X. Just say it. Ableton… so awkward. Means nothing.

^^^ It’s not ageism, it’s developmental biology: According to the American Psychological Association, children develop the skills to use Logic between the ages of about 7 and 12. A “bitwig” is an 8-y.o. dress-up play metaphor for that.

It was a sock puppet post anyway, he knew how we would react but did not fancy the thought of being held responsible.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
