I tried to find a Morph in stock, but it's sold out everywhere. Has it been discontinued?

That Osmose looks amazing, but it's a bit beyond my budget...

My guess is the Morph has been badly affected by all the chip and supply line problems since the start of the pandemic although they often sold out of stock before covid.

I think the Morph is just a victim of pandemic/parts- I doubt it is discontinued as its their only product! They have a sign up for availability

I use mine a lot- perfect with ipad as well (connects via BT) and I even have the QWERTY overlay for typing and use it for photo editing etc, so good value all in all. The Thunder overlay is also a ton of fun with Eurorack...

Osmose is about 2 years late, but fingers crossed they will be out this year...I got the pre-order price, still not cheap but its also a very powerful hardware MPS Synth, not just a controller.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Live is fantastic. Love it to bits. Development isn't going that fast, but steady and 11 was a great step up.

Maybe one day they will make it possible to work with multiple projects at the same time
Neon City for u-he Repro - 80s pop & Synthwave soundbank
HARDWARE SAMPLER FANATIC - Akai S1100/S950/Z8 - Casio FZ20m - Emu Emax I - Ensoniq ASR10/EPS

Was there a change in the chief of development?
Because Ableton was always very caring about not hampering the production process with upgrades. If something went wrong, a fix was released as quickly as possible.

Witht he recent upgrade all VST aliases were broken.
Sadly I continued to work on a handful of projects.
After three days I noticed the VST2 alias problem.
But since I saved the projects with a newer version, I can't downgrade, because the projects do not open with the older Live version.

Ok, but instead of releasing a quick bugfix ASAP, they continue to run beta after beta, although this bug seems to be solved several weeks ago.

I mean, we ar enot talking about an esoteric HW controller bug, but about the whole organization of VST2 plugins not working anymore for everyone who relied on aliases.

Seems that someone in charge has lost the plot...

I thought they stated before that those aliases were unsupported..

You should mention this is a PC specific issue. Took me a while to realize what your were on about, but I recalled an earlier gripe about the Windows OS penchant for installing VSTs in multiple locations that required it's users to make aliases with Live specially. This isn't an issue at all on Mac OS.

That's not the only reason. Many use shortcuts for plugin management. Grouping Plugins by vendor or type for example.

On the other hand, if you always select the same path during each plugin installation you don't need shortcuts at all.

By the way, other forms of aliases like symlinks and junctions still work in 11.1.

Organization for me is the only way to work effectively and fast.
I am always surprised how badly organized people are on their workplace and how many have total chaos on their computer.

Here is an example of how an effective plugin organization of the dynamics section looks like:

Aliases do not eat space and mean freedom.

Many people do not even recognize anymore, how unfree and slave-like they have become and are even happy, that someone else is making the decisions for them...
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I switched over from aliases/shortcuts to symlinks long ago - they allow the same sort of organisation but across multiple hosts.

Although in Tracktion Waveform you have the advantage of being able to tag plugins which allows for even more flexible organisation that takes into account the fact that many plugins do multiple things (which is a limitation of folder based organisation) and works with AU and VST3 plugins too

It might work for you, but organizing plugins that way seems like a huge waste of time to me.

I tag my favorite plugins to find them quickly, for everything else I just use cmd-f. „Don’t worry, be happy“ is freedom 8)

I just remember what my 2000+ plugins do and use a-z and the scrollbar.

Or maybe some people haven't created such organisational problems for themselves in the first place- no problem, no solution needed.

I have used symlinks to organize plugins in the past, but since having for example 289447 dynamics plugins is totally useless and counterproductive for me, Ive gotten rid of all the useless crap and now have only so few plugins left I can simply use the Ableton color tag collections for organizing.
