I don't understand why so many people are bashing this. It's free, the sounds are rich and detailed and in my current setup I would have a hard time finding equivalents for some of them (the pop staccato preset is great, I've been looking for a string sound with a very strong attack like this - but granted, I don't have expensive string libraries).

As for CPU usage, in reaper with a i7-9700, I'm around 15% with most sounds, but when I close the plugin interface it goes down to 3-4%. As often with Arturia, it's the graphics that bog down the system. But even then, I don't care, because their plugins look great and sound very good.

Welcome to ignorant KVR members comments...
Unfortunately it is very common in here, they will always find something to complain about, even if its free...
I'm tempted to use much harsher words, but I'll be blocked by moderators... :?

Apart from the rather high CPU consumption, the plugin certainly arouses interest in a full version (and that might also be the clever marketing concept behind it).
Has anyone heard whether a possible full version will be part of the V-Collection 9 or whether it will be sold separately?

Something is wrong with this instrument. It brings my fan to high speed (Mac Book Pro 2015) Logic 10.5.1?
This is bad coding in my eyes and also pigments 3 use too much power !

Post

Interestingly on my 2013 Mac Pro it does not eat much CPU… Certainly much better than Fathom or some other hogs…

My Maschine software shows 16 pages of max 8 parameters.
When you go to the midi tab and click add controls, you see an even more impressive list.
CPU usage is OK on my M1 MBP.
which is copying output...the whole industry has been copying output for the last few years, because they understand the dominant demographic and are giving them what they want
I am not familiar with anything Output, but I assume you are right. Arturia and NI seem in the same league now.

It sounds great! Really confusing installation process though. ASC said it was installed but nothing in Logic or components folder. So I installed the pkg file and now seem to have something which may or may not be a demo.

But it sounds good. I just hope it doesn’t expire.

I also downloaded the pkg, but activated in ASC. It works fine and is authorized…

It's not bad coding. You simply have a BAD computer :hihi:

I switched my audio settings (codec?) to wasapi and the CPU hit went way down! I've been holdind 3 notes over 4 bars and so far no audio glitches and reaper showing about 3%-4% CPU hit.in the performance meter.

Audio driver not codec. I should add that before, playing a single note was glitchy for me (laptop with i5 processor).

It's a rompler with a preset synth attached to it. It's quite a lot like Sampletank actually, come to think of it.
It also has virtual analog, wavetable, harmonic, and granular synthesis...a bit more than sampletank! More like Omnisphere....
So it's a rompler, like Omnisphere, that's what we're saying.
I am not sure something counts as a romper if it can make sounds without using samples, unless all the WT and Granular synths are also rompers?
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

No, this is a romper:

I wouldn't say that WT and Granular synths are that, unless perhaps they come in that crazy blue and you can wear them to a party.
