hi,
how do i get traction to record audio as mono tracks from my 8 analog inputs in my delta 1010t card??i dont seem to be able to make traction get out of stereo grouping the inputs in pairs.any clues/pointers will be highly appreciated.btw how could anyone give this beauty away free,im not complaining but it's stunningly gorgeous and im converted and at last im using vst plugins with ease and confidence.
the z3ta is another example of this jaw dropping syndrome im going thru, how are these people doing it,they r giving away gold for free???
i would like to thank all the developers for helping us needy musicians out with such mindblowing free goodies.thanks a million JULES and RGC.
love tuki

when you select the audio input, the properties box at the bottom has a button that says something like 'treat as stereo pair' or something... i can't remember because i'm not at tracktion atm..
oh hold on...
[loads tracktion]...
yeah that's right "treat as stereo channel pair"... click that button and it will split the input into two mono input block things. just connect these up to the tracks you want and you now are using two mono inputs.

As far as I know, z3ta is not free. I just checked their site and it is still for purchase.

Settings=>audio devices, click on you input source and you'll see all the options at the bottom; for this, remove the tick in "treat as stereo channel pair". You can also do the "time adjust" thingy while you're at it
.
And yeah, where did you find Z3ta+ for free? I want in on this (unless it's warez, of course).
[edit] Of course, 2 more post while I was typing.

thanks for the help,i will try your suggestions later as i use traction on a different computer as this and i will be using that later today.
BTW sorry i meant RGC SFZ vst synth(soundfont player)which is completely free and is great for playing back soundfonts in a vst environment though it eats a lot of cpu.
sorry for the goof up please excuse me.
thanks again for the suggestions, will post later and let u know how it worked.

dear Ezy Ryder and haydxn
yes it works finally, great.one more thing is there a way to specify where i want all my wav files to go so that i know what i am doing to my hard drives?
hey thanks again and sfz is working fine with the smaller soundfont banks with no fx but the big banks like MM BIG PADS is very glitchy.
