How is this cost of living crisis going to effect the music industry ?

They actually announced it did they ? lol I am banned out of their group for no valid reason, so I can't see that. Their stuff is massively overpriced anyway, so if they raise it more, I doubt anyone will buy anything.Lbdunequest wrote: Sat Apr 23, 2022 11:38 am Besides VPS avenger what other developers have announced price increase?
Well it was always going to be a massive rebound after Corona, after all the money that was ploughed into it to keep people going. Here in the UK they furloughed everyone who could be, so it had to get paid back somehow.chk071 wrote: Sat Apr 23, 2022 11:28 am Yep.
Well, it was obvious. I don't know how it is in your country, but, allegedly, Germany spent 1.3 trillions per year for Corona related things like compensation for businesses, and health related things. No wonder that everything goes to shit now.
Well.. like all businesses, the increased cost of doing business will be carried over to the customer in the form of increased ticket prices. And in turn the customer will have to scrutinise every expense they make a bit harder since all costs have gone up.LeVzi wrote: Sat Apr 23, 2022 11:51 amWell it was always going to be a massive rebound after Corona, after all the money that was ploughed into it to keep people going. The war couldn't have happened at a worst possible time, but I guess they knew that.
I can see for the next few years certainly, its going to be ridiculously hard for everyone. I just hope the devs manage to carry on too.
Exactly do not convince yourself to accept higher prices. Change your habits and behaviour. Learn to do more with less.
Where was this announced and what did they say?Lbdunequest wrote: Sat Apr 23, 2022 11:38 am Besides VPS avenger what other developers have announced price increase?
I would say what we have here is 'cost push inflation' rather than any real effect of government interventions;LeVzi wrote: Sat Apr 23, 2022 11:51 amWell it was always going to be a massive rebound after Corona, after all the money that was ploughed into it to keep people going.
